Ohh I’m sorry to hear you got hurt, good to know you’re feeling better :) my studies are indeed going well
… just wanted to pop in here with another sweet thought though:
(And this scenario only applies if the producers decide to stop killing the good characters)
Donna hosting a dinner (given colony house, I’m sure she’d be the one to host) with the rest of the survivors (main characters only for reasons of space) to see how’s life been treating them and Jade shows up with his pregnant wife (who somehow believed everything). Just imagine him standing in the doorway as he holds her hand, everyone’s eyes going from him to her round belly and back. And at some point during a quite moment with just himself, his wife and Kenny he asks for permission to name his unborn daughter after his mom (sth like Tiana or Tia or sth like that)
No, I’m not sniffling, just my allergies 😭😭😭
Thank you, anon!
I reckon those dinners would be monthly - always at Donna's, because she likes to host and also lives in the intersection of everyone else's places.
Jade is ALWAYS there - annoying everyone, teasing Jim, giving Ethan new projects, teaching Victor how to play the violin.
A year or so passes, before he appears with a guest.
His beloved girlfriend of a bunch of months, who has seen the way his eyes glass over, has woken up more than once with his screaming, dried his tears when it got too much.
The one who believed him.
It's not a surprise when he gets engaged - Tabby helped him pick a ring, Julie gaped at the prices (and maybe he got Julie a pretty ring too, just because. She deserves nice things.).
Everyone attends the wedding as well - Victor plays Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on the violin (the only piece he learned), and Boyd is the one to officiate the ceremony.
No one expects Jade to be a father, he never actually said he wanted that, but a few months of marriage bliss, you notice your feet swelling and your period going bye-bye.
Tabby is the one you call - your mom was still a little baffled that you chose to marry a guy a decade older, so you don't trust her too much on this matter.
Tabby is the one to drive you to the doctor to get a blood test - you don't trust pharmacy ones -, and when it comes out positive, she hugs you, even going as far as staying with you until Jade comes back home.
She waits outside.
And she hears a scream, before barreling in, only to find Jade twirling you around, eyes wide and smiling like a fool.
"I'm gonna be a dad!"
It's all settled. On the next communal dinner, Fatima brings in a cake she baked for you, and you all celebrate it along with Kristi and Mari's wedding anniversary.
A few months later, Jade pulls you to a corner, where Kenny was previously talking to Boyd. He's alone now, blinking as your husband gapes like a fish.
Finally, you sigh, softly taking Kenny's hand in yours.
"It's a girl." You smile, having found that out a few days ago. "Jade and I have talked about names, and we want to honor your mom."
You look at your belly, round and soft.
"It's Tiana. Tiana Herrera." Jade says, looking up at Kenny.
You can see his eyes water, and he sighs shakily, squeezing your hand. Jade's own eyes water, and he brings you two into a group hug.
"It's perfect." Kenny exhales, nodding his head. "Perfect. Thank you."
Guess who little Tiana's godfather is?
Yeah. That's Kenny.
