Gabe’s order was called, an order of carnitas tacos with pineapple salsa on top. As he reached for the bottle of hot sauce and started sprinkling it on his food, he noticed someone else there. At first he offered them a polite smile, then it registered - had they also been reaching for the same bottle that he so rudely took without so much as a glance? “Sorry, were you reaching for this one? My bad, I sort of just went on autopilot and grabbed it,” he apologized, placing the bottle back on the counter towards them.
