I locked my stuff in the locker, slipped my uniform vest on and put a hand through my hair.

"EEEEEEEEEeeeeeeee!" She squealed jumping on my shoulders

"Ahhh y/n!" I complained turning to see her "What the hell are you so damn excited about?"

"It's here!"

"what's here? That giant Cheerio's standee, Marks been yelling about?"

"No, even better" she smiled "Halloween!"

"Are we stocking?"

"Of course we are" she smiled grabbing my hand to tug me through to the stock room with her, we got the Halloween stuff and took it out to the precleared shelves where the last shift emptied all the summer stuff into clearance and the two of us began working on stocking.

Skulls, spiders, cobwebs, killer clowns, creepy dolls, bats, crows and costumes. Waves and waves of orange and black, or spooky witches and goblins, mummies, vampires, Frankenstein, as well as boatloads of Pumpkins.

I have to admit stocking is one of my least favourite jobs, it hurts my back, it hurts my back, my feet, you get shoppers bumping you with their carts, its a long boring job but Y/n's smile made the whole job better.

just being able to look over and see her cute excited smile as she stocked items, each time she found something spooky she looked so happy. It cheered me up no end to see her so happy.

"Jake look, a little black cat mug his tail's the handle" she explained showing me the cute little mug.

"Very cute y/n"

"He has little toe beans on the bottom"

"Awwww, very sweet"

"When you're done stocking those costumes, Could I have a hand holding the stairs, while I put the banners up?"

"Of course y/n no trouble, so long as I get my tip?"

"How was work?" I asked turning my phone off.

"I'm still hired so," He shrugged sitting down in his desk chair.

"I'd like a job," I grumbled spreading my arms out across the bed (t-posing basically).

"I'd give you mine if I could," He replied. I looked away from the ceiling and looked at my friend instead. His dark hair greatly contrasted his pale skin. The slight bags under his eyes brought out his bright blue eyes. He was quite beautiful for a guy and I had no clue why he was so looked down upon in school. So what he believed in fairy tales his grandfather told when he was young? He was fun to be around even if he was kinda awkward. I mean I was too. I enjoyed being his friend even if deep down I wished for more.

"What do'ya wanna do?" I asked kicking my feet once more staring back up at the ceiling.

"Sleep for 100 years sounds nice," Jacob said flatly. I hummed in agreement. I took the remote that was on his nightstand and turned on a show I know we both would enjoy. I moved to sit myself up on the bed, resting on the headboard. I patted the spot on the bed next to me inviting Jacob to sit down with me. He got up and grabbed some clothes to change into and changed in the bathroom. He came and sat next to me. He looked tired, but I guess you would be if you had to go to school and then work right after.

We sat next to each other watching the show and talking here and there.

"So you're turning 16 this year," I chimed in with a smirk.

"So are you," He replied back.

"True," I responded. "I'm going to drivers ed soon so that's something."

"So am I," He replied. "Can't wait to be able to drive around on my own."

"Ooooh! We can go on night drives!" I exclaimed smiling. He looked at me and smiled back.

"I think we have a curfew," Jacob pointed out.

I frowned a bit, "Oh."

Jacob seemed to panic a bit (at least on the inside but I could tell), "W-well I mean I'm sure no one cares, I've seen teens driving out late before and not get pulled over."

"I mean we can drive during the dark while in curfew," I replied back. "It's still dark out during 8pm." Jacob nodded, glad to see my hope restored. "That'll be so fun tho!"

He chuckled a little, "Yeah, I can't wait either." I looked away from the tv and glanced at Jacob only to see him staring at me. I felt my face flush and returned my vision back to the tv, Jacob doing the same thing. I felt my heart race a bit and a small smile made its way onto my face.

I felt like there was a connection between the two of us. One that bonded us more than just friends. The small glances we would share which held a ton of emotions. He would get me small gifts when I would achieve even the smallest of accomplishments. I would get a near perfect score on a normal worksheet? Jacob would give me a small gift that ends up meaning the world to me. I always kept every gift he would give me I make sure it's in a safe spot.  I felt bad at first that I couldn't return the favor but he said that me being his friend was enough and that he just wanted to show that he cares about me. Which I told him that he didn't need to buy me things to prove that but he did anyways.

I always had the urge to cuddle him, especially right now, but I kept that urge at bay. I glanced back at him, this time his eyes were trained on the tv. I raked my eyes over his lanky figure, memorizing every part that I loved about him...which was basically everything. Our eyes met but this time neither of us looked away. His bright blue eyes met my (e/c) eyes and it was almost like he put me under a trance. His pale skin turned into a rosy color and I felt mine do the same.

"(Y-y/n)," He breathed out. "I...I'm in love with you. Ever since you stuck up for me in fourth grade actually."

"I love you too Jacob," I responded shakily. I've  only ever dreamed of this moment, and if this was another one I hope I never wake up. "I loved you since you made me laugh so hard that I cried in sixth grade."

"Can I kiss you right now?" He asked nervously.

"Please do," I responded inching closer to him. He also inched closer to me, obviously nervous. This was both of our first kisses and I wouldn't want it to be with anyone one else.

Finally our lips touched. It was a shy kiss and very gentle. It wasn't perfect, definitely stiff at first. Yet the longer we kissed the more comfortable we got and the more we relaxed. I pulled away slowly wanting to savor this moment for as long as possible. I opened my eyes and watched as Jacob slowly opened his after. He looked as stunned as I felt. My heart was hammering violently and my body was burning up. The look Jacob gave me made my heart beat faster if that was even possible. I knew that I was giving him that same look.

I was hooked. I never wanted this feeling to end. I remember reading somewhere that love gave you the same reaction like drugs and I can tell you know that it's true. Jacob Portman hooked me like a drug and I didn't want to stop.

I subconsciously put my hand on Jacob's cheek and brushed it gently with my thumb. He nuzzled into my hand as we looked at each other lovingly.

For the rest of the day we rested in his bed watching tv and stealing small kiss while cuddling. My dream finally coming true and hopefully this was his too.
