Summary: Working and single parenting is not easy. Andy needs to find a nanny for his son Jacob. Annie, an education degree student at Lasell University, comes to their lives just in time for the big changes in Andy’s life.

ok so jacob doesn’t seem soft what so ever, whenever his parents touch him he basically irks

the literal ONLY person he let’s touch him is you

he pretends to be annoyed, like rolling his eyes when you hug him or reach out and messy with his hair

but when you guys CUDDLE-

he turns into a freaking baby.

not LITERALLY, but he loves to cuddle

and he HATES to admit it

he loves laying on top of you and putting his head on your stomach

he falls asleep when you play with his hair when he’s laying on you

the boy stays up ALL night on youtube so he naps quiet often

and mrs barber will call you down for dinner and you have to wake him up and AHH his sleepy voice-

“huh? baby stop i’m sleeping”

“five more minutes you’re so warmm”

“i’ll only get up if i get a kiss”

he is ADORABLE!!!

but like the minute he actually wakes up he is back to pretending to hate being touched bahabdja

and when you snuggle him he DIES

he thinks you look so cute when you nap

when you put your head on his chest you can hear his heart beat go like 90mph he gets flustered

when he’s sire you’re sleeping, he cranes his neck to look down at you and he moves the hair out of your face and strokes your head

he will give you little kisses all over your forehead and rub your forearm

you’ll like stir awake and he will cease ALL action

“jakie dont stopp”

and i’ll continue, and whisper sweet little things into your ear about how cute you looked sleeping

when he’s sad he just wants you two to hold each other

he likes being level with your face so he can kiss it as much as possible

this usually happens after a bad day or school or just a day where he feels off

he puts one arm around your

waste and the other under the pillow that’s under your head

sometimes he tears up a little bit

“baby please don’t cry”

“i’m so lucky to have you here”

Is there such a thing as the perfect family? Of course not. But the Barber family was a happy family, and if there was anything truly special about them, it was this.

jacob barber, a boy with dark brown hair and a habit of rolling his eyes in my anthropology class. you havent ever really talk to him, but now he was all anyone could ever discuss. do i think he did it. no. why would i?

to be honest, i think it is sort of cute… in weird way, of course. he isn’t been in school in weeks, and i’m worried for him. texting him didn’t seem like a bad idea at the time but , maaaan…. i didn’t know what i was getting myself into.

he didn’t ask that long to respond, why would he, he isn’t doing much anyway.

it’s 5:15, and i’m throwing every possible clothes option around my room. why am i so nervous??? i wonder if he is too.

his house is bigger than i thought it was. i knocked on the door and looked around as i waited; the garage door caught my eye. ‘MURDERER ROT IN HELL.’ wow. maybe this wasn’t such a good idea. i feel awful for him. what will people think of me if they see me here? “hi, you must me y/n.” i quickly look back to a tired mrs. barber. she could tell i was looking at the remains of what her husband tried fruitfully to get off. “h-hi mrs. barber” i reach my hand out to shake her hand “so great to meet you.” a smile graces her face, and her sunken eyes lift up for just a second. “jacob! jacob! she’s here” she shouted, shortly after, light footsteps scrapped down the stairs and the so called ‘notorious’ jacob barber was present.

one thing came to next and we were studying in jacobs room. at least we tried to.. after a failed attempt of trying to teach me about the first man made artifact, he filled in all of the answers quickly, and that left us with two bean bag chairs. two controllers. and two people with nothing to do on a saturday night.

i was better then i thought i was at video games, it went from jacob protecting me to jacob competing with me. round after round, win after win, i couldn’t tell if he was impressed or jealous of the victories.

“you’re pretty okay at these y/n.” he said and set down the controller, “you have me beat, i have been defeated.” i cackled and set mine down aswell, leaning back into the chair. “it takes a lot of built up anger, it was all really just my inner frustrations.” he looked up at me and stared for a moment, “what is making you frustrated?” he asked, searching for eye contact. i looked up at him, realizing I shouldn’t be the one complaining. “i’m sorry jacob- nothing compared to what you’re going through i bet.” i said and put my hand in his knee, he got up and laid back on his bed. it was quiet for a little bit, I could tell I had already messed this up. after what felt like years, he spoke. “i know you didn’t come here to investigate me, see if i really killed ben. i’m sorry y/n. it has been hard. my whole life feels over before it’s even started.” “jacob” i started “i’m really sorry for what has happened, but now you have me, I might not be as fun as your old friends but I’ll be here for you when the going gets rough now, I’m here for support and I’m here to help you escape the stress of the trials.”

i walked over to his bed side and sat on the edge beside him. i heard a light sniffle, i began to rub his thigh, being sincere and empathetic wasn’t my forte, and I barely knew this kid. but i could tell he just needed someone here. i think what i was doing was working, because he sat up and threw his arms around me. sobbing and speaking sloppy nonsense into my shoulder while i hushed up and placed my hand on the back of his head. “god, that was embarrassing” he said, harshly wiping his eyes and nose from the residue of his Break down. “t-hank you y/n, I know that must’ve been weird, considering we don’t know each other, but you have no idea how lonely I’ve been.” his watery eyes, the tv buzzing, the emotion in the air.

i kissed him.

he pulled away, looking confused. fuck. my face became red with regret, “jacob oh my g- listen i’m so sorry i really don’t know w-” and once again his lips met mine. i couldn’t tell if he leaned back in to shut me up for because he was into it, either way, i was satisfied. it wasn’t a gentle kiss, our lips fought with passion as his hands became tangled in my hair. it was intense, as he laid be down and made his legs comfortable in between mine, i felt my core become wet and needy. shit. he paused to take off his shirt, as i did with mine, and he continued, grinding his heat against mine, relieving some of the tension i that began to produce inside of me. as i became more aggressive, as did he. i was moaning into his mouth, and he was eating up every bit of them. i began to whimper, needing something more but not wanting him to stop. he hovered over my mouth, enjoying the sweet sounds he was causing my to make.
