Ok SO! Jackson's papa was originally from Spain, but after he met his mother they moved to Colombia together
They had Jackson, but he thought parenthood wasn't right for him, especially with his alcohol addiction, so he left when Jackson was a few years old. Jackson and his mom went to America, they lived in Kingsmont together, while his father stayed in Colombia somewhere. Probably with some buddies. He is not the worst guy, but also definitely not someone you would trust around your valuables. Just saying. After Jackson's mom died, his father tried to stop his addiction instead of going to alcohol as an escape, so that he could be trusted with Jackson's custody. But Jackson went to his maternal grandmother's care. Then jackson's father fucked off for a while, Jackson's grandmother passed away and jackie was adopted by Carol and Frank Smith, and Jackson's father was still out of the picture. My drawings were a what-if for "What if Jackson got a letter or call from his father and visited him in Colombia for Christmas?" Jackson's father tried to connect with Jackson again, after more than 10 years apart. By this point, Jackson's father is used to the Colombian dialect for Spanish, so they communicate just fine.
