“Jack Pearson's Son” (SPOILER ALERT)   What we learned by the end of this episode is that Jack was getting closer and closer to a downward spiral; specifically, we mean this in term of him falling into addiction, as he made a decision after seeing Rebecca and Ben (Sam Trammell of “True Blood” fame) that he was going to take off to a familiar hang … and start drinking. Was this moment the beginning of something worse? We do think that every moment that we see on “This Is Us” is deliberate within its own way, and that is why we are nervous to see what is going to be coming up next.On a slightly happier note, there was some reasonably good news when it comes to Kate and Toby’s relationship the two have recognized that things are moving very quickly. They are going to have a chance to kick back and relax things a little bit, but the most important thing is that they are together and, at the very least, are in a position where they can start to plan for a little bit more of a future together.As for one other emotional, moving moment from the episode, it was certainly pretty darn easy to love the Kevin / Randall bonding. We’re seeing a great deal of evolution from this man, and you have to remember that he is someone who started things off in a very different place in his life. than where he is now. He’s showing off a far more emotional, sympathetic side, and we’re excited for that.As a whole, “This Is Us” is a show that is continuing to be everything that you could want it to emotional, touching, and so much more. It’s just too bad that there was no huge moment of resonance beyond just concerns for Jack this week.
