Jack Rose was not among his friends who were taken and brainwashed, but he's seeing the aftermath. Coaches are disappearing left and right, a strange glitch draining locations and coaches of their life is spreading, and all the deities are in turmoil. On top of that, Jack is being urged to join the push to silence any mention of Nightswan's rampage- keeping people ignorant to the growing danger.
Jack can't even find his friends and mother himself, only the destruction they are leaving behind in Eternyx. After making a hasty promise to the little sister of one of said captured friends, Jack has one goal- stop his mother and deliver back her captured army. Secrets, old alliances, and buried mistakes are leading Jack back into a version of himself he's tried to escape- but may be the only weapon he has against his mother.
