Jace had to handle some business outside of town. He tried to avoid leaving Cass and Del at all costs, but this certain thing needed to be handled by Jace himself. As soon as Cass walked into the room, Jace looked over at her and he was about to give her the flowers when she grabbed him by his shirt and pulled him close and kissed him. As usual, Jace and Cass had had another fight and once again, she left and he was alone in the house, pissed off. After a couple of hours of being alone and very angry, Jace felt that he had more to say to her, as usual. He left the house and drove off to the bar where Cass worked, knowing heâd find her there, working or not. When he got there, he walked in and looked around and that was when he saw her with Barry. Anything he had to say to her was thrown out the window as he stormed over her. He grabbed her arm and pulled her away from Barry, putting himself between them before he punched the man square in the jaw, sending the other man to the ground. He turned around to look at Cass, grabbing her chin and bringing her close to him. âDonât you ever fucking forget that youâre mine.â
Cass was about six months along with her pregnancy and Jace was being as impatient as ever and it probably didnât help that Delilah was as impatient as her father. Every day, the five year old would ask if her sibling was coming that day and every day they had to tell her not yet. It was starting to get late and that meant it was bedtime for the little one. âAlright Del. Bedtime. Make your rounds.â Del ran to Cass and kissed her mother on the cheek. âGoodnight mommy.â She then kissed her mothers belly. âGoodnight baby.â She looked at Jace and pointed to her mothers stomach. âYou kiss the baby too daddy!â Jace smiled and walked over, leaning down and kissing Cassâ stomach gently before he picked up Del. âAlright. Letâs go get you into bed.â He kissed Cass on the cheek. âIâll be right back babe.â
