āŖSo while I was searching around, obviously intrigued about the pregnant females in the population, I came across this nugget of information.Ā
āIn October, during the annual photogrammetry update lecture by John Durban (NOAA) and Holly Fearnbach (SeaLifer3), it was said that K27 āDeadheadā was no longer pregnant. Deadhead was one of the pregnant females that were confirmed in September 2018. However, on a more positive note there are once again several pregnancies within the Southern Resident population and so far, both 20-year-old J36 āAlkiā and 12-year-old J42 āEchoā from the J16 matriline are said to be pregnant.ā¬ āŖā
