J-Dub & SGA Lead Thunder to Victory over Suns
The Oklahoma City Thunder had another fantastic game on Sunday night, defeating the Phoenix Suns 111-99 in the fourth quarter.
Taking the lead with 35 points scored, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander spends another game showcasing his talent on the court.
With 31 points, Jalen Williams trailed closely behind and kept demonstrating why he is a valuable team member as he gains confidence on the court. Regarding Dub, SGA remarked, "He was himself." "Once he gets comfortable, we'll see him continue to improve and enter that mode more frequently."
Besides Josh Giddey, who finished with 10 points and 10 assists, rookie Chet Holmgren added 18 more points. Despite being outrebounded 52–33, the Thunder defeated Phoenix 31–13 in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.
Together, Gilgeous-Alexander and Williams made 24 out of 38 shots (63%) with the rest of the team making 49%. The Suns shot 38%, making 2 of 21 shots in the fourth quarter.
Kevin Durant led the Suns with 28 points, 9 rebounds, and an 11-for-11 shooting percentage. Drew Eubanks scored fifteen points, and Bradley Beal finished with fifteen points and eight rebounds. The Suns dropped to 4-6 while playing without guard Devin Booker and backup Eric Gordon. Gordon was out with a sore shoulder, and Booker was out with a sprained left ankle.
