As the Anon who sent the āM-Preg š«µā I formally apologise after James hit me over the head with a metal chairā¦I am going to the SDN nurseā¦oh also uh itās Ralphā¦the Dispatcher in the cubical next to the water bubbler
oh, uh, how about you go do that and never set foot near hr ever again okay? okay
@totallynotabaconhair thanks man you're a real one
What I really like about this scene and what puts it over the top for me is that Joke knows Jack is talking about him. Like, there's surprise and shock that Jack is openly addressing it, but there's no confusion. There's no "who is this mystery person that Jack has feelings for?" This scene just felt a lot more exciting and tense because Joke understood what Jack was saying and exactly what he was choosing.
Just something about Joke visibly trying to lock it in a bit bc he can't afford to stop and fully process while in such a high stakes situation just has me obsessed, and it lead so well into the confession/kiss scene later on. The way that Jack and Joke both know what's going on, know how the other feels, but there's still that bit of uncertainty and hesitance--not necessarily about how the other feels, but simply bc circumstances are weird and uncertain.
Omg was going crazy looking through the jack abbot x reader tag looking for the newest update for junebug. Iām currently in a different time zone so you usually post when Iām asleep at midnight but itās been a ritual to find the latest chapter when I wake up at six.
Sad thereās not a chapter today but! I thought you might enjoy knowing how much I adore this series of yours.
aww thank you angel!! should be back to regularly scheduled posts tonight :)
The fact that the SECOND Jack saw certifiable proof that Joke really is still a good kind person at heart, he immediately unabashedly check him out

On this episode of: Does that QL have a horse? - Jack and Joker
Now when I began to rewatch this show for horse purposes I was almost certain there wouldnāt be too many horses. That conviction lasted about one minute until I had watched the intro in full.
Oops- there it is, I had forgotten about that. But weāll get into the significance of this little symbol later.
Still, the first episode wastes no time at all (59:59), our first horse appears at the bank, and what a glorious horse it is!!
From then on, they really just keep it coming, and we havenāt even gotten to the main event yet!
Boss himself is a man very fond of a horse, which we see in episode 2 (19:00-20:30).
Poor Joke, some might say his past is haunting him after getting out of prison but Iād personally say itās that horse from the bank haunting and sending all its friends after him. Because damn it, it just doesnāt stop.
This is the point where it gets REALLY bad.
8x Combo!!!
Eight horses at ONCE that is quite the attack! (EP 7 - 27:08)
These rich people call themselves āthe four horsemenā which is actually quite self reflected since they are in fact horrible people draining the life out of everyone else, but I digress.
Point is, each of them wears a (horribly ugly) ring with 4 horses on them, so that would come out to 16 horses in total. And unfortunately, it doesnāt stop there.
Their staff sometimes wears these brooches with that same symbol, so technically and for accuracy purposes I should have been counting every staff member and checking if theyāre wearing a brooch.
Iām not gonna do that.
Instead Iāll count the brooch two times for the two times we see it clearly. (EP 9 - around 37:00)
In other news, Joke canāt even reconcile with his father without the presence of a horse.
Brutal.
The only thing thatās harder than that is having to keep track of horses in a mansion while the characters are running.
But I did it, hereās one at EP 9 32:39
And five more that same episode at 58:25!
That brings us tooooooooooā¦
30 horses!
In case you were wondering, that does not include the special episode, no, I didnāt feel like causing myself harm. (Although I will probably be checking that for horses in the future.)
-
And on another note, while talking about these horse sightings with my friends and reading through their blogs, as well as through my own research, Iāve noticed something.
Usually, the amount of horses in a show is highly dependent on the setting. And what I mean by that is - the richer the characters are, the more horses youāll get to see.
Thereās exceptions to this rule, of course, but generally these horses often seen in places of wealth. (The bank, offices, mansions, palaces).
Do with that what you will!
Specific pet peeve of mine is when people criticise media for choices that are literally just the theme of the story.
Oh people are being forgiven too easily for your taste in that story about forgiveness?
Oh that story about community doesn't focus on overthrowing the bad guys enough for you?
Like? I sorta get it, but you gotta enjoy stories for what they are not criticise them for what you think they should be.
And if you don't like a story's themes, or the way they're executed maybe you just don't have to put yourself through the story, lol.
