It was a normal day in college, teachers doing their thing, most students ignoring it, some students making plans to prank the poor teacher once more, and our teenage failure here was already tired of them all.

Meet Azul! A Venezuelan transfer student who is known to have very high grades despite their age of almost fifteen. Studying to be a voice actor and at the same time an animator/pro artist.

Wanna know how they look like? Sure I guess. They had short dark brown hair, having a side bang that made others others call them emo (which they ignored cause they don’t really care, and they honestly take it as a compliment since they really like that style of clothing. MOVING FORWARD!) and they had a raccoon stripe off to the side of their hair. Wearing black and white striped long sleeved shirt underneath a shirt that had a logo of the band “Paramore” while also wearing some jorts that had some doodles on them. Having a bandaid on their left cheek and another bandaid on the bridge of their nose. And also having some perler bead made skull earrings, and some kandi bracelets/cuffs that they made back in Venezuela! (They’re really proud of their little creations.) Having cinnamon colored skin that seemed to get paler and paler everyday from how little they go in the sunlight outside, having a scar around their neck that reminded them every time of that time they got so close to having a break of everything, and also had big dark circles under their eyes from staying up drawing. (Which I know many of us have done.. right?)

Now that you know how they look like, let’s go back to where we were last time. Azul sat on their desk, drawing something as they really didn’t pay attention to what was being taught in class. Drawing felt like an escape from the world they were in, to go into a world where it’s more relaxed and where people are nicer than they really are. But that’s all just wishful thinking, isn’t it?

They suddenly felt something hit their head. A paper. They looked back to see who was the one who threw the paper at the back of the head. And to their “surprise”. It was the one and only douche bag who is useless to society. Astro. The so called “man” over in the back of the class laughing his ass off like the fucker he was. Augh. Good thing the day was about to be over soon enough.

They opened the crumbled up paper to read what it even said. And oh god.. THE HANDWRITING AND GRAMMAR WAS JUST AS HORRIBLE AND ASS AS THE ONE WHO WROTE IT! “Go bac to preshol looser” Is this some type of cruel joke? Cause if not, it was honestly sad how a grown man could write this bad. And what are we, in a Disney like movie where it’s normal for bullies to be so cringey like this? Golly, they were now asking themselves how this man was even popular enough that ALMOST every girl wanted him. They couldn’t help but snicker at how bad his writing was.

As the teacher finally finished his lesson, he let everyone free to be out of his class. In which Azul picked up their books and put them all in their bag, and putting their mechanical pencils and erasers in their pocket. As they zipped up their bag, they went on and walked out of the class. Mentally jumping of joy that this long day had finally come to an end and they could now just draw and watch cartoons/anime while doing so.

Throwing away the paper after taking a picture of it (to make fun of course, cause even a kindergartner has better spelling/grammar.) Walking now out of the classroom with a hop on their step, having a small smile while they put on their headphones, starting to play “Ain’t It Fun” by Paramore in them. Humming the tone, minding their own business. Getting out of the campus and now on their way to their own dormitory(obviously after eating a small snack/cookie from a nearby cafe so they weren’t so hungry later, in which the line for it sadly took them two hours to finally get it. Worth it. MOVING ON)that they somehow got to have without anyone else, being the only student in the college to have a dorm room all to themselves, probably was so nothing bad happens to them since they’re the youngest in the whole college, in which Azul is silently grateful for. They were only a few blocks away from the dorm rooms, it being now very dark so not many people were around so it was mostly quiet and isolated for once. In which Azul liked the whole silence that had come now. Until a certain someone made them suddenly trip and fall face first into the ground.

“How very mature for a grown ass man like you be picking on me.” They grumbled as they at tried to get up so they could go to their dorm room. Suddenly feeling a foot pressing them back down against the floor in their back.

“Don’t you remember what you did last time? The way you humiliated it me infront of everyone?” Astro put more pressure on his foot, crushing Azul down.

“well it wasn’t my fault that you’re so fucking pathetic.” They spat, exhaustion starting to hit them as a result of them pulling too many all nighters suddenly hitting them in the worst time possible. As they remembered what he was talking about, the time where Azul just snapped and knocked him out for a week with one singular punch.

“SAY THAT AGAIN AND ILL BEAT YOU.” He then put full force into his foot, crushing them down into the concrete floor.

They could feel themselves slipping, I mean, yeah. Azul did hit their head hard since they did fall down face first into the CONCRETE floor. Maybe now they could take a break. Maybe. It was hard to breathe. They left their inhaler in the cafe so it was useless. They closed their eyes, accepting their fate as a buzzing high pitched noise started playing in their ears, which definitely wasn’t from their headphones since those things had fallen out of their ears from the impact of them falling onto their face.

Until, they heard a blur. Heard people arguing and then a fight. Not being able to hear nor see well from the state they were in. All they could see was two blurry porcelain beings. Suddenly being picked up gently by the blue one at some point.

They woke up abruptly. Taking big gasps of air as they looked around their surroundings. Sitting up in what seemed to be an inflatable bed. “Whe.. where am I?” They asked, being a bit scared.

“shh, it’s okay! It’s me, Mugman! We both go to chemistry class at the same time.” Mugman comforted as he put a tentative hand on Azul’s shoulder. “We saw what was happening with Astro and we just had to step in. Are you okay?”

“oh.. hi there mugsy.. and yeah.. I’m okay. I think? I mean, I’m all exhausted.. and also forgot my inhaler in the cafe near the college campus..” They muttered, embarrassed of themselves for forgetting an inhaler.

“no wonder Cups had to give you cpr. Do you have any spare inhalers?” Mugman asked, worried for the kid.

“Yeah.. I have a few in my dormitory.. keys are in the bag.” They told him. As they saw him getting ready to go get the inhalers for them. “Thanks..” They mumbled.

…

“Sooo.. you a fan of Paramore too kiddo?” Cuphead asked, sitting down in the edge of the inflatable bed. Trying to somewhat comfort the kid even though he wasn’t good with comforting nor emotions.

“oh.. you’re talking about my shirt..?” They saw him nod, as they felt a small smile coming to their lips. “Well yes.. I do like Paramore.. one of my favorite songs is “Ain’t It Fun”, it’s so peak..”

“no way! That’s my favorite song from them to!” He exclaimed, scooting just a little closer as he had a bright smile on his face now, showing off his teeth.

“really? Have you ever gone to one of their concerts? I’ve heard that they’re very fun!” Azul now seemed more upbeat, like finding someone who had the same interests as them made them feel, seen.

“well, yeah! I did go to one recently! And it was all to this one asker in tumblr!” He exclaimed, as he showed them his tumblr.

“Woahhh! That’s so nice of them to do!.. do you mind if i follow your tumblr? I post art in there whenever I can..” They shyly asked. Pulling out their phone from their pocket.

“Of course! What’s your user kiddo?” He replied, pulled up the search bar in tumblr.

——————————————————————————— Mugman came back with Azul’s inhaler, Azul and Cuphead were now having a nice conversation. Them drawing the cup in their style on their sketchbook as they talked about Paramore, music, anything at this point to be honest. It’s shocked Mugman for a moment since he was so used to seeing his classmate normally be very quiet and reserved. So it was nice to see that they came out of their shell for once.

“Are you boys having fun over here?” He asked as he gave Azul their inhaler. Sitting down next to Azul, making them be in between the both brothers.

Took the inhaler as they took a few puffs from it. “Awh.. thanks mugsy! And yes! I’m having so much fun! I’ve never been able to draw so much for someone before! You and Cupsy are sooooo much fun to draw!” They exclaimed, stars forming in their pie eyes as they started a new page, drawing the three hanging out. “I’m glad i finally have someone who likes seeing my stuff..” they sincerely smiled.
