Sometimes it's hard to make time for the things that make us happy, bring us joy and nurture us as we're going through our fertility journey's. So if you need a reminder to take that time, this is it!

After only finishing the last antibiotics like a week ago, my boob flared up again. Fever, skin peeling, so much pain. I tallied up my freezer stash and 1200oz (36L!) is saved so I’ll be weaning off pumping and enjoying my last weeks of mat leave while we cruise to her 1st birthday.

Top parent award

Kiddo has her first black eye after slipping in the bath. I feel like an amazing parent since I was holding her arm while it happened! I’m sure tomorrow once it’s all swollen I’ll feel sooooo great.

Emotional tipping point

I’ve been putting off thinking about going back to work but it’s happening in 2 months. Having mixed emotions, covid is making it weird too. Also cried randomly the other day after thinking about my grandma that passed away and almost cried again today at the beach. Kiddo won’t remember her.

Big celebration

Many people think Cystic Fibrosis just impacts upon your lungs, however it can impact upon every aspect of an individuals body including their fertility.

I am feeling beyond blessed to announce that after 19 months of doctors and hospital appointments, 1 operation for me, 1 round of #ICSI (the form of IVF we required), 14 home injections, a trip to theatre and a general anaesthetic for my wife, our little miracle is due in October 2019 💫❤️

I am so grateful that I found someone who is willing to spend their life with me despite the set backs I may impose upon theirs due to my CF . Seeing the impact infertility had upon my wife broke my heart, however I am beyond happy that our dream has become true and our family is now complete!

I can now die happy, feeling like I have actually beaten CF! Growing up I was aware of the facts that I may not survive until adulthood; however the reality is completely different to those facts. My life is more fulfilled despite my CF then I could have ever imagined, and to say that I will soon become a Daddy is something I never imagined would actually happen.
