Both, in the sense that all the personality in the world can't offset someone being a tiny mortal blip in time. Why set himself up? What an immortal being like himself looks like is a non issue. One has to accept the fact that most of them are hideous in appearance and personality, and he's in no position to judge.

Eden has super complicated feelings about this question, because he is inherently a pacifist and has an extreme distaste for violence. However, the fact that he was brought back as a revenant means that he's a vengeance spirit, and is sometimes gripped with the urge to be violent and spiteful that is not really his own. I'm not sure if combat will ever come up in a thread, but he is a supernatural creature who's most powerful feature is perhaps his uncanny level of durability.
This crops up mostly when tracking down information related to his own murder, or when helping victims of similar crimes - then he becomes the relentless force that will not rest until he hunts down and deals with whoever he's looking for. It always frightens him deeply when it happens because it's so far from himself and it feels like being taken over by another entity.
