You know those 90s movies set in highschool where teens are given fake babies/sacks of flour/eggs etc to take care of by themselves or in pairs to teach them how difficult it is to take care of babies and whatever?
Yue Qingyuan decides to implement that in CQM. It is important to teach disciples responsibility, especially the younger ones who might be fooling around unsafely, whatever.
Qing Jing Peak has an uneven number of disciples. Everyone pairs up more or less by preference and they leave dear white lotus Binghe without a partner. It would not be fair to let him handle all responsibility alone since the "baby" is actually imbued with a spell to mimic crying and other annoying baby behaviors (it has to deter pregnancy after all) that he would have a hard time dealing with alone on top of cultivation training and missions.
So the only acceptable solution is that his partner for this assignment is shizun.
SQQ thinks LBH feels embarrassed about it because he's always super red in the face, stuttering, just clearly uncomfortable when they have to "take care" of the fake baby (feed it special food, clean it etc) but in reality LBH is fighting baby fever battles never seen before.
