Waiting

Funfact: Waiting is one of my wip from last year you know. I just remembered it when I was searching my wips😂

Anyways it's about KID found Conan on the rooftop of Haido's City Hotel after heist. Conan's face was sad and KID asked what was wrong. Then, he told KID that sometimes he thought that no one was waiting for Kudou Shinichi to appear anymore. KID said he would later.

“Here."

Shinichi showed his phone and Kaito blinked, confused.

"We're going to takedown the organisation tomorrow. So... Um."

Finally, he looked at Kaito with a face that Kaito himself couldn't read.

"Take this. Haibara will call you if anything happens via this phone."

'If anything happens to me' was left unsaid.

Kaito silenced for a while before he kneeled down in front of the detective.

"Keep it."

He took the small hand that held the phone and squeezed it. Shinichi looked at the thief who was staring hard at his hand. Despite wearing gloves, he still could feel Kaito's warm hand.

"Besides, didn't I tell you I'll wait for you?"

Kaito whispered softly and looked at the pretty azure eyes that he loved so much

"So, I'll wait for you to come here everyday. During this time. Okay?"

Cold breeze surrounded them and the moon was shining bright. Moonlight illuminated Kaito's face and Shinichi felt his heart that usually heavy started to lighten up. If before he hadn't fully believed Kaito's words, he was now.

"Okay... Okay, KID."

He repeated like he finally could breathe properly after a long time and Kaito grinned. He pulled out his grip and stood up. Kaito then walked towards the edge and turned to Shinichi with a bright smile.

Rejecting You

It's about Kaito getting rejected by Shinichi. It was not like he hated Kaito or something but... he thought Kaito was better off without him. After that, Kaito started to date a girl because Shinichi had said that was the best for him. While Kaito was happy with his girlfriend, Shinichi was suffering. It had been a year and Shiho thought her friend had suffered enough. Thus, she interfered.

“That's why he looked so happy."

It was like he was whispering to himself and a small smile shaped on his lips, like the news didn't hurt him.

"I'm glad for them."

Shiho twitched and she felt her blood boil.

"Youuu- why do you always try to let go of the person you love so much?! First your parents, then Ran-san, now Kuroba-kun?! Why do you need to hurt yourself?! Why can't you be selfish sometimes?!"

Shiho hit the table. The clatter sound of her cup filled up the silence before Shinichi spoke.

"I'm. It's because I'm selfish that I did that."

Shinichi sipped his coffee and smiled at Shiho this time. His face was so sad and yet she knew, she knew he was satisfied with what he and Kaito had now.

"How can you call yourself selfish when you're the one who is suffering?"

Shiho grit her teeth for a moment before sat down. Feeling the other intense glares, Shinichi turned to look at his coffee and stared at his reflection. Finishing gathering his thoughts while thumbing the cup, he hummed.

"I just... I don't want to see him suffer anymore."

Shiho's eyes turned softer when she heard that. Afterall, she knew that wasn't the first time she heard the reason. She once heard that when he had let go of Ran. Shiho watched the detective who was now looking up at the ceiling with a thoughtful expression.
