It’s been a bit over 2.5 weeks since I fractured my little toe. ⚠️ Swipe left if you dare. I’ve never broken a bone before and although this was just a tiny phalange, my entire body has undoubtedly been feeling the effects. For one, I strained my right calf muscle the day after the incident because my right leg has been compensating for my left. Not to mention, both of my legs are more sore than usual these days and I've been feeling some hip pain as well. As a result, I’ve been spending extra time on my foam roller, which has been helping tremendously. 🙂 (Ask me about foam rolling for pain relief) I’ve also been working on strengthening the muscles surrounding my pelvis. My foot is still on the mend, but I’m finally able to walk with my weight fairly evenly dispersed and can curl my toes slowwwwly without pain. I realize that I’ll need a few more weeks to fully recover. Until then, I’ll take it one day at a time. To keep myself on track in the upcoming weeks, I'll post some of the foot exercises that I’ll be working on to regain full range of motion. 📝 These exercises are great for anyone who wants to strengthen/mobilize their feet. 👣👣👣👣👣 To those who have suffered any form of injury, my heart goes out to you. Be patient as your body recovers and take the necessary steps for a healthy and full recovery.
