So this new Lion King... I don’t think this is it chief. The movie’s effects and cinematography are amazing. It’s 98% shot for shot remake of the animated movie, but just like GVZ’s 90’s Psycho shot for shot remake, it lacks the charm and charisma that the original had. Some of the songs felt flat. They tried to keep it as close as to the original but it just doesn’t have the same impact. 65-35 as far as it being good, it’s still a great movie for the kids but for those who came up on the first one it’s meh.
