Can you do one of those "recap of things I've done/accomplished" for the year 2016 ? I'm curious !
2016 was unfortunately one of those downer years for me, so I didn’t accomplish many things. What I did accomplish, though, were pretty major things! A few of these are really personal so I won’t elaborate but it’s mostly straightforward.
January: I began my nursing internship in an emergency department, which is, like, my dream job!
February: I roadtripped to Katsucon and had an incredible time there. I’m going back this year!
March: I got some major health issues under control after they almost got out of hand, go me!
April: I saved some lives in the emergency, no big deal lmao.
May: I graduated from college after three years of painful, harsh, amazing nursing school!!!
June: I moved out of my mom’s house, into my new apartment with my friends, musical-prince and milothebear.I got a job at a French hospital as a nurse (pending license) but the offer was retracted due to administrative reasons.
July: I made my Takumi cosplay (from Fire Emblem), which is the first big cosplay I’ve done in a while. We began a project to self-publish my fanfic, Against All Odds with hellregear and unitedream!
August: I ran the maid cafe at our local convention (over 20k attendance!) as its director. My friends unitedream and kyanite-green and I roadtripped across New England to go climb a mountain, and then go to a beach! It was such an adventure, wow.
September: I wrote my NCLEX (nursing licensing exam) and began studying at McGill University.
October: I reactivated my Facebook account after about a year of inactivity. Listen. I think that’s an achievement.
November: Busy month! I got my nursing license by passing the NCLEX, was a guest speaker at an elderly residence on the topic of seasonal depression, I began administering testosterone shots to a friend who is transitioning and am still accompanying him and his family across their journey.
December: I made it out of my first semester of university alive, which is an achievement in and of itself. I wrote the before-last chapter of Come Morning Light, leaving the grand finale for 2k17 :o)
