I keep thinking about how Eda and Stan were married in Vegas for either 6 or 48 hours according to some easter eggs in Gravity Falls and The Owl House. It's a funny headcanon, I remember before Raine it was a semi popular ship. But if you think about the timing of it a LOT of questions start getting raised. Not to go too deep into the timelines of either shows, but we know Gravity Falls is set in the early 2010s, either 2012 or 2013. The portal incident was 30 years prior, and Stan had been a homeless grifter for about a decade before that. We also know that Stan was married BEFORE the events of the show. So the vegas wedding either happened in the 70s when Stan was in his 20s and was a wandering con artist, or in the 80s-2000s when Stan was in his 30s-60s and was pretending to be Stanford. It makes more sense for him to be in Vegas in the 70s, but I fully believe that even while working on the portal Stan would've visited Vegas at least a few times. But the Owl House is set in probably the early 2020s, 2019 at the earliest (Based on the calendar we see in Reaching Out I think it's 2022). And Eda is vaguely in her mid to late 40s. We know Lilith cursed her near the end of their high school years and Eda dropped out, finding the portal shortly thereafter. Given Dana said Lilith is 2 years older than Eda, at the youngest Eda found the portal door at age 16, probably more like 17 or 18. If we assume she's as old as possible in the show and is 49, then she only had access to the human realm for 23 years, roughly spanning the 2000s and 2010s, maybe a bit of the late 90s. In the Land Before Swine audio commentary, Stan says his ex wife had a shirt that said "30 and very flirty" and we know Eda has a shirt in the show that says "Over 30 and very flirty". If Eda was actually 30, is 49 in the show, and the show takes place in 2019, then the marriage is in 2000. Around the time Dipper and Mabel are born. But it seems to me like Eda's not quite 49, and the show is in 2022, which places her being 30 more around 2010, right before Gravity Falls is supposed to take place. And if she's over 30, then it's after the show takes place! Of course, she could be wearing a shirt that overestimates her age--the curse does make her look older, and Eda's not exactly honest--but that means she's in her late 20s at best, in vegas, getting married for a day to Stan who is like, 50-60. Which isn't like, horrible but is definitely a little weird. Then again, she seems to have only married him to steal his stuff, so it doesn't really matter. Of course, all of this is assuming Eda's age is measured in human years. Because Dana had to go and say that the Boiling Isles uses two calendars; a version of the Gregorian Calendar (presumably brought in by Belos) and a calendar with 13 months and a 666 day long year. If Eda is in her late 40s by that calendar then the marriage could've been way earlier. But if that's the case then which other characters have their ages measured in that calendar? When Skara's 15th birthday happens, is that 15 365 day years or 15 666 day years. If Amity is 14 in 666 day years that's 25 and a half in 365 day years. That makes her significantly older than Luz. That can't be right.
