in addition to watching the girls on their first time playthroughs, i've been following along on a fresh save file of my own. initially my plan was to attempt a deathless run but as soon as my fresh-out-of-central-yharnam underleveled ass saw alfred i was seized by a vileblood fervor and attacked him, leading to a fight where he was removing like 80% of my health with each undodged shot of his blunderbuss + i was hitting him for barely double digits with my pathetic +1 threaded cane. and i died three times before deciding to stop and come back after BSB so ana and sasha wouldn't get bored watching me waste all my vials grinding the fight out. so anyway that was the end of my deathless run so i decided i'd just follow their progress through the game on my own save file. at this point i've made it to the blood moon with a grand total of 7 deaths: 3 from alfred, 2 from fall damage shenanigans, and 2 from getting greedy against the Bloody Crow. notably, no deaths in any boss fights! and i never mess with alfred or the crow when i do a proper deathless run. sometime soon maybe i'll give it a genuine attempt and see if i can manage it :) i've gotten as far as mergo's wet nurse before but never quite cleared the game deathless (and i highly doubt i could do the dlc deathless)
