The USFS always give Challenges (usually two) to new teams who reach a normal/better score in national competitions and get their release from the previous federation. So that is not a big surprise MC get a Challenger, and probably they will get one more (so please don't freak out if they get!). But I'm sure BV will get one more too (maybe the Golden Spin, like last year). I think the USFS do it so good because they give as much experience as they just can to the teams, not like other federations... Every other weaker senior team who still don't have international competiton can get if they reach a higher score.
Right now B&V are subs for Budapest Trophy. That's the same challenger they were assigned to last year but had to withdraw (they never said why).
Denis Ten, Budapest Trophy and SkAm are very close together so we'll see. Even if doesn't count for a bye, if they don't get anything else, I hope they're sent to Golden Spin again. At least they'll have one more international competition before Nationals.
