Do Skadi get into arguments with any of the other goddesses servants that Shirou is contracted with, like Ishtar or Parvati, about which goddesses he likes best?
āShe does get into arguments with the other goddesses servants about which one I favor the mostā¦and Iād to stepped in to stop them from using their powers when the argument get heated.ā Shirou sighed heavily as he turned his attention to three goddesses who were looking at each other with a competitive glint.
Writing fics and stories that feature mythology and cosmic horror can be an adventure in on itself.
One minute youāre writing vampire fics that feature Mesopotamian Mythology and Celtic Mythology in the source materialās canon, and are studying how to better utilize them. The next youāre going down rabbit hole after rabbit hole of how Greek and Mesopotamian Mythology connect in an historical/cultural context. Same with Celtic, Norse and Arthurian mythology. And I end up writing these connections into said stories for world building.
Donāt get me started about wanting to write Hastur in one of my fics, because he was name dropped and played a small/critical role in source material.Ā Now Iām going down the King in Yellow rabbit hole. Which in turn had me going down the Cthulhu Mythos, Lovecraft and Derleth iceberg. And to add a cherry on top ? ReadingĀ The Great God Pan, and the subsequent history lesson of the deity of Pan himself.
The Ishtar Gate was one of the 8 monumental gates in the inner wall of ancient Babylon. It was consecrated to Ishtar, the Babylonian goddess of love and war. It gave access to the temple of Marduk, the lord of the gods, through a processional avenue decorated with reliefs of lions and dragons (symbols of Ishtar and Marduk). It was built at the beginning of the 6th century BC. by Nebuchadnezzar II.
Today you can see it at the Pergamon Museum in Berlin

Hey ! Back wih something new ! š
I really love Sumerian mythology š, I find it intriguing and exciting.Ā
So, i wanted to represent one of the emblematic figures :
The Goddess of War and Love, Isthar. š
(I realize she looks like Wonder Woman ... š)
The family picture that no one asked for.
But I'm still going to give. š
