Ismere's confusion and loss.
Ismere woke with a start, her dull icy eyes looking around the area as she gripped her sword closer to her. The only thing her gaze was met with however, was the dark woods of Duskwood. A small sigh of relief left her wet lips. Wait, wet? Wet with what?... The sudden taste of iron filled her senses, the taste and smell of it overwhelming powerful.
Her body turning to the side as she emptied her stomach beside her at the sudden and unexpected assault. A dizzying haze brushing over her confused mind as she spit up what remained of the vile taste. A small piece of what lead her to be where she was now filling in the blank of the night before.
Howling, it echoed around her as she drew her sword from it's sheath with as little noise as she could. The source of the sound drawing closer to her location, her first clue being her shield shaking upon her back. The force of the howl having caused it to shake. This by no means was your average creature, no.. This would become a worthy fight for her yet, one that would sate the blood lust for a good while. Excellent.
Soon the hulking figure came into view, worgen, standing about nine feet tall and built well enough to put the most well muscled of Draenei to shame. His canines long, shoving passed his lips as if tusks on a troll. Claws adoring it's fingertips, caked with dried blood. Another howl was let loose from the creatures lips, the grass and leaves on the trees being blown back as if the wind was blowing.
That was the only warning Ismere got of it's attack, the creature was fast. Charging forward and slamming into her now upraised shield with enough force to send her skidding back and straight into the tree.
A throbbing came to Ismere's head, the pain of that hit starting to sink in. The rest of the memory a blank to her. Had she really driven that deep into the blood lust that she zoned out? No, she couldn't of.. She had started this quest in nearly full control, how could so much of it been lost so quickly?
With a heavy sigh and no way to get answers just sitting there she slowly began to rise to her hooves. Yet a sharp pain travels though her right leg, painful enough to send her crashing back down to her ass as a gruntal cry left her lips. Her hand moving to clutch her leg, being met with fresh blood. Four long gashed angled up towards her stomach were present on her upper thigh, dripping with fresh blood from her most recent movement. When?
Her shield was raised, protecting her from most of the charge. However the hit to the head still had her dazed, unable to react. The worgen hit her hard, his claws racking upward as they tore across her leg and ripped her shield from her grasp. Sending it flying off into the distance.
Guess that solved that question, removing her shirt from under her armor she tied it around her leg to stop the bleeding. It would have to do for now until she could get proper care. Slowly and with the support of her sword she pulled herself to her hooves once again and began to walk. Each step was agony on her leg, body sore and much weaker then she first assumed. Fel, even breathing was hard for her.. Must have a few broken ribs as well. Slowly though, step by step she made her way back to the camp her mate had set up for them.
"Durek.." The thought came to her mind, she knew he wasn't going to be happy to see her like this.. "......!!" Her eyes widen as her words were not spoken, hand reaching up to find her necklace was missing. Shit, this wasn't good. Her gaze quickly looked around for it, even back tracking her steps to see if she dropped it as she was walking. Yet her steps paused, her mind going fuzzy as a memory washed over her.
The beast had her pinned under his paw, claws deep in the dirt to keep her from pulling free. The pressure on her chest enough to cause a few of her ribs to crack. Soon a deep growl emerges from the beast's jaws. Almost laughing as it reached to rip the necklace off of her neck. "Heh, poor little voiceless Ismere... Should you wish this back, come and find me." The beast mocked, letting the necklace hang just out of her reach before tearing from her and taking off. Letting the darkness in her mind consume her.
A fresh wave of pain washed over her, earning a groan from her lips as she clutched her chest.. Who, was that? What the fel did he want from her.. How did he even know her. Damn it, she couldn't recall anything else of the fight. Her mind was to dazed to think clearly even now. Her crystal would have to be fetched another night, as she was in no shape to get it now. As much as she wished to.
"Damn it, Durek's gonna be pissed.." She thought to herself, slowly working her way back to home once again.. "Then again.. I rather deal with a pissed Durek then be dead.." She sighed softly, wanting nothing more then to at home with him at this moment.
