Summer has begun, school is out and I'm only working about 3 days out of the week so I have alot of time on my hands. I was watching some islamic lectures by the well known Shaykh Omar Suleiman on the youth dilemma in our Ummah and how few of us are taking steps to build our own legacy. It opened my eyes about all this extra time that I and I'm sure many other young muslims have on their hands that goes to waste. He used the words wasted potential to describe the waste of our time and lives both blessings from allah swt. I just wanted to tell everyone who is reading this post to think about what they are going to tell allah swt on the day of judgement when he asks you what you did with the time (life) that he gave you and if you don't have an answer that you're pleased with then start working on it now. Build your legacy and make it worthy of jannah. I know right now my legacy isn't what I'd like to present to allah swt on the day of judgement but Insha'Allah nows the time to start building one.
