Holdup, I thought that "Nightless" was just another localized term for Nightwalker. Are they actually two different sub-sets of vampires?
In older games, the term Nightwalker referred to the Japanese term "Ishu" or "Outsider" when translated (those who Walk in the Night/Darkstalkers in other words)… but Slayer has also referred to his own kind as "Exceptions" when he spoke with Dizzy on the subject.
Kyuuketsuki (the Japanese equivalent of a Vampire) is a little different as well, which is closer to the BlazBlue equivalent of a Vampire who has the traditional weaknesses a Vampire is known for.
However, Guilty Gear Strive is the first time the term "Nightless" has been used, which suggests it is a special case, particularly for Nagoriyuki.
It is also possible that Nagoriyuki's Master Kazusanosuke is ALSO a Nightless, but we don't have any confirmation on that info just yet…
Side Note: Some of the earliest known folklore history concerning Vampires refers to them by the Russian term "Upyri" which dates back as early as the date 1047 A.D.
