Give Blessings to This Wonderful Sorcerer Kingdom AU!
Kazuma Satou, a commoner from the Re-Estize kingdom who became a ranger, led a modest life as a gold plate adventurer in the city of E-Rental. He never managed to climb the ranks, primarily due to his lack of a party, which was likely a result of his discontent, sarcastic, and curt demeanor, coupled with his lazy attitude that led him to choose only the simplest tasks. Despite this, the young man always harbored dreams of recognition and excitement, yet he finds himself merely doing the bare minimum to survive as the world evolves around him.
Upon returning from a quest that proved to be unexpectedly difficult from the Adventurers’ Guild, Kazuma is shocked to encounter an army of undead monsters marching through the streets of E-Rental, brandishing an ornate flag with an unfamiliar emblem. He soon learns that his town has been conquered by a mighty skeletal magic-caster named Ainz Ooal Gown, who has created a new nation known as the Sorcerer Kingdom, forever transforming the world.
Kazuma, ever the coward and complacent soul, attempts to adjust to life in the newly established Sorcerer Kingdom, but everything has changed dramatically. The once simple tasks for adventurers have vanished, as an army of undead creatures now patrols the city, eliminating the monsters and demi-humans that once plagued the local inhabitants. This shift has left only specialized jobs available, which Kazuma is ill-equipped to handle on his own. However, in response to the new regime, many citizens, including high-ranking adventurers, have fled E-Rental, creating a vacuum for lucrative job opportunities.
Seeing an opportunity to rise through the ranks due to the lack of competition, and the need to improve becoming necessity for him, the young adventurer decides to set his sights on his old dreams of excitement and esteem and form a party of his own.
However, things aren't quite that straightforward, as very few adventurers remain in E-Rental, so Kazuma has to make do with what he’s got.
For a healer and support, Kazuma meets a peculiar priestess. Her looks are unparalleled – with hair a shade of light blue like the reflected sky on a clear lake, lapis lazuli eyes and an attractive slim body – and her healing and support abilities are noteworthy. But what quickly becomes apparent is her delusional personality. The priestess, Aqua, claims to be a descendant of the gods from the Slane Theocracy on a mission to uncover the truth behind the new nation ruled by the undead. This unfathomed belief causes her to be a careless, carefree and cocky to a ridiculous extent.
Still, without any other options, Kazuma is stuck with the self-proclaimed Godkin and her heedless and self-centered antics.
They form a party just as the Sorcerer King announces a revamp of the adventurer’s guild in his country, having it be fully endorsed by the nation, causing Kazuma and Aqua to join the new training regime to better “truly explore the unknown.”
As they hone their skills and take on new responsibilities, the duo is joined by another fledgling adventurer, a mage girl named Megumin. She has a small frame, short charcoal-black hair, and captivating crimson eyes. Her magical strength is significant, particularly her offensive spells that are centered on fire and explosive magic, which are remarkably powerful. Nevertheless, Megumin's quirks, much like Aqua's, become evident quite quickly. With a flamboyant, theatrical personality and a fervent love for flames and explosions, she insists to be a descendant of dragons, despite her impoverished living conditions.
Regardless, the now trio continues to take on the exams and quests of the Sorcerer Kingdom Aventurers’ Guild.
At last, one final member joins the unlikely posse, a defense-oriented paladin from the Roble Sacred Kingdom known by the name of Darkness. Her regal appearance – with long blond hair, shapely body and tall figure – matches her sublime qualifications, being a noblewoman trained as a paladin that left her country to become an adventurer. Kazuma cannot help but question what caused her to decide on such an odd path, only to discover that Darkness, in contrast to her orthodox self, is actually a masochistic who entered the Sorcerer Kingdom anticipating to be confronted and mistreated in a nation ruled by monsters.
And so, the lazy and temperamental ranger, delusional priestess, pyromaniacal mage and masochist paladin, together in their perfectly dysfunctional party, grow and – despite their reputation and notoriety – rise to prominence in the Sorcerer Kingdom, going on many quests and misadventures along their journeys. From grand ventures, such exploring the distant frozen Azelizian Mountains northeast and or conquering the demi-human infested Abelion Hills southwest, to everyday shenanigans around the E-Rental, the party form a comradery and attain the renown Kazuma once dreamt, albeit much rowdier and more exhausting than he ever expected.
