Another walkthrough? Yup! This time Wallaby's Nightmare! #vulnhub

I think some messages on Irssi take too much space. I use 80x25 terminal and often use irc on tiny phone screen so I want to see a lot content on small space.

I use Myrtti’s dark winter theme.

Over the years I have modified it a little to suit better my taste and I don’t use any background image for my terminal but the background has opacity 80% to show windows beneath it. I have also tweaked my terminal’s colors a little.

Trackbar

I tried to use Weechat for a day and noticed you can modify the “trackbar” there easily. After changing back to Irssi I searched if this is possible with trackbar.pl in Irssi and it is! 

/set trackbar_string          ♡ /set trackbar_style %m

There is ten spaces before the heart char and the style is set for color magenta. I feel that using a lot spaces makes the whole feel more “spacier”. But I didn’t stop there with the unicode chars. I also changed how joins and quits are printed. I think that if you use one channel per window, you don’t need to see the channel name every time so I axed that. 

Joins Quits

/set join  %m☀%N  join: {channick_hilight $0} {chanhost_hilight $1} /set quit  %m☂%N  quit: {channick $0} {chanhost $1} {reason $2}

(There is one extra space between command and the message)

I’m thinking of reformatting host, taking out those [] which aren’t really needed. Also reason could be reformatted.

Whois

Changing days hours mins secs to d h m s. I’m not sure if this necessary or easier to read but I did it anyway. The signon message is really odd formatted but I didn’t tackle that one yet since I didn’t find it right away on /format list.
