Smells like alcohol and smoke, sounds like jazz, and it feels like home.
How does Iris Kumo interact with the Wellington family before and after her murders?
Iris is a cannibal, and the Wellingtons are a family of cooks that are themed entirely around food. It makes me sick that she could've been one of them if things went just a little differently.
IRIS & SAZERAC
BEFORE: Sazerac allowed Iris to spend time around his children because he believed they would be good friends. He didn't think she was capable of doing any harm considering he knew she was an orphan with no threatening bloodline after he did some looking into her last name. Iris works as a waitress in Ryouta Sato's club (thanks to his children begging him to grant her the position), so she could be useful if Sazerac ever decides to hire her for his own restaurant. Sazerac doesn't see Iris as part of the family (mob or not), but he does keep a very close eye on her.
AFTER: Iris had eaten Sazerac's only two children. He loved his children dearly. Sazerac hasn't been able to trace their murders directly to her, but he has put a target on Ryouta's back because Ryouta is trying to protect anyone else from getting in trouble even if he doesn't know exactly how Cimarron and Kael went missing. Sazerac is part of the world that views Iris as nothing but a monster, and he will eventually be responsible for taking away the one woman who loved her unconditionally.
IRIS & HONEY
BEFORE: Honey is very sweet to Iris. She dotes on her as if she were one of her own children. When Iris first came to Unova, Ruby Yukina introduced her to Honey, and she was shocked to see just how thin the poor girl was, so she immediately put her skills (and magic) to use to help get Iris to a healthier weight. Since Iris spends her days in the forest, she usually goes to Honey whenever she gets scratches from any branches, thorns, animals, etc. Honey is more than happy to feed Iris even when she doesn't need healing.
AFTER: Honey is still married to Sazerac, and she can be just as malignant as him if the situation calls for it. She may have cared for Iris in the past, but all that adoration vanishes in the blink of an eye when she learns that Iris is connected to the deaths of her darling children. Honey no longer sees Iris as her "daughter", but as a monster that she will never feed again.
IRIS & KAEL
BEFORE: Kael was supposed to work as a butcher at the club during the day, so he spent lots of time hanging around Iris since their jobs were near each other. Alongside Iris' girlfriend and his childhood friend Charlotte Sato, and his younger sibling Cimarron, the four of them would become inseparable when Kael would actually join the other three.
AFTER: Kael watched from the side as Iris lured Cimarron away to the forest. He didn't think anything of it at first until Cimarron didn't come back and the meat she returned with a few weeks later had a human finger in it. After figuring out that Iris was a cannibal, he followed her into the forest and tried to fight her for revenge. She ended up overpowering him in her spider form, then she killed and ate him as well.
IRIS & CIMARRON (IRIS' FIRST MEAL IN UNOVA)
BEFORE: When Iris was a newbie in the kitchen, she was the target of hurtful rumors due to her appearance. Cimarron and their older brother Kael took interest in her and worked together to dispel the gossip. With how airheaded Iris can be, Cimarron has a tough time finding any reason to get angry at her because her behavior comes off more as a positive and relaxing energy rather than something to be annoyed at. Spending time with Iris, Charlotte, and Ruby during extra shifts made things a bit more bearable for them.
AFTER: Iris is terrified of what she did to Cimarron. She wanted nothing more than for them to be happy and for their suffering to end, but she only ended up making things so much worse for them in the end. She murdered them before they could achieve their dream of getting enough money to leave Nimbasa to start their own restaurant. Iris still remembers the look of horror on Cimarron's face right before they died, and it haunts her to this day. She doesn't want to be "frightening", she wants to be loved...but she doesn't believe she deserves it.
this is more of my "tulip can do no wrong" propaganda (we love her in this household)
please watch out for the five ocs in the far right column
average day at work with the kitchen staff

In each other's vision
It's important to me how dreamspinner views each other because they both suck with their own self worth.
Starting off with their own self worth...
Iris sees herself as a "monster". She believes she should be hated and feared. She doesn't think she's deserving of love. This mostly stems from her knowing that cannibalism is wrong, but pursuing it anyways: as well as going from an orphan to being homeless before she found a place to stay at Ryouta's penthouse.
Charlotte grew up under a lot of social pressure to fit into a certain category. When she came out as trans, people began telling her that she needed to fit into this role of "how a lady should behave" in order to "pass". There have always been a bunch of rich people telling her that she should be prim, proper, quiet, and skinny.
But moving onto how they see each other...
Iris sees Charlotte as everything. She sees a woman who is enchanting, even as someone who is overweight. Charlotte can act as "unladylike" around Iris, and she really doesn't mind one bit. She's just happy to see Charlotte be herself.
Charlotte sees Iris as someone a bit more on the fragile side. Yes, Iris has the physical strength to literally tear someone to pieces with her bare hands, but Charlotte knows that she only does it to survive. Iris constantly gets herself into all kinds of accidents due to her airhead, and so Charlotte is more used to that woman than the "scary monster" that her victims see.
