Iris barely looked at him as he climbed into the car.  “There’s a wrinkle on your vest.”

“There is not.”

“Hmpf.”  Iris glanced at the driver before studying her nails again.  “Regardless.”  She waved her hand with a flourish.  “I hope you aren’t this flippant about the ceremony.”

“He’s my brother.”  Maven leaned against the windowsill.  “I want what’s best for him.”

“And your best friend.”  She cocked her head.  “You must be so happy for them.”

His throat tightened.  Iris was no fool: she knew about their history, the way Mare had almost been his so many times.  The way they’d always blurred the line between friends and more, never quite managing to step past it.  The way they’d always decided it was better not to try.  

“My parents will probably want a wedding in a few months.”  Iris sighed, leaning back.  “Do try not to mess it up.”

If only.  His lips tugged, a smile false as the rest of him.  “Oh, I assure you, I’m not the one who should be worried about that.”

If he offended her, it didn’t show.  Iris propped her chin, studying his suit for the first time.  “Wearing white to a wedding, huh?”

mare - typical posts about her life, reblogs stuff she finds relatable, etc. she’d probably have subtle posts talking about silver oppression but i imagine silvers would heavily regulate social media, and she’d have to delete her account once she became mareena. maven would definitely limit what she can say during the first half of king’s cage

cal - mainly reblogs / posts about his training, the war, being a general, etc.

maven - i remember seeing Va say that if he was a social media, he’d be instagram to keep his aesthetic but imagine if he had a secret vent blog.. it would be a nightmare

also imagine iris’s reaction when she finds out 🥲

iris - rarely posts and when she does it’s usually pictures of her family

julian - extremely detailed nortan history and geography posts. answers everyone’s questions in the comment section and is really thorough with his explanations

kilorn - mostly unserious posts, unless there’s something wrong he’ll constantly be posting the most random thoughts (after he joins the scarlet guard he gets busy and doesn’t post as much but that doesn’t stop him from coming back after being inactive for 3 weeks with “hi did everyone miss me?? what are our thoughts on [super trivial topic]”)

cameron - i don't think she would blog much during the events of the series but after the war's over she'd have a really nice blog with her interests

farley - coded scarlet guard announcements / news

shade - i want to say pictures of him and farley.. maybe pictures of him and his friends too (and also of him and mare before he was conscripted)

evangeline - realistically in rq 1 (and prior) she probably didn’t post much other than official nortan information / news, as she had to keep a cold impeccable image, but after she and elane are safely in montfort i can see her ranting on it sometimes.

also if evangeline had instagram it would have been filled with gorgeous professional shots of her, especially in the time leading up to queenstrial and during her engagement to cal. but after the events of the series she’d post more simple posts- sometimes she and elane took photos when they spent time together, and she’d post her favorites afterwards
