[OC] Brakan Mavor - paired with Rakesh when on duty. As a result of this, they have a closeness to them that Rakesh is actually comfortable with. Unlike most of his species, he is generally soft-spoken and kind to others, rare to challenge authority and easy to get along with. He and Vori are the kids of the group.
His face was so hard to get right. The eyes in particular really tested my patience, but I’m satisfied with how they turned out in the end. Of course, the shading also ended up a lot darker than I’d have liked, but there’s enough contrast between the different shaded parts that it works. He’s definitely meant to be more skinny to muscled, contrary to how my drawing appears.
I have had yet to see an Irodian Zabrak and um wow????

Headcanon: Zabraks have iron stomachs.
Iridonia is a harsh world (based on what little we know if it, it seems like a badlands kind of place for the most part) and deserts like this have plenty of animals, but a population of Zabrak would likely tax the environment to the limit. So in order to survive there, they must be capable of eating ANYTHING. Anything meat related of course, one of the very few canon things we have is that they are carnivorous. So meat from a poisonous animal? Food. Spoiled meat from a long dead carcass? Cook it extra long and it’s food too. Tiny animals? Skin them or burn any fur off and toss them whole into the pot.
Their stomach must be able to take an absolute beating and they can eat stuff that would kill humans. [Not that they LIKE to of course, given the chance they'd prefer quality cooked meat.]
Of course this also means that they are resistant to a lot of common poisons and can drink just about any other species under the table.
