Happy Monday from Glenbeg Lough on the Ring of Beara!
I wasn’t planning on camping here. Just a quick visit, a look, a photo and move on. But the moment I got here, my eyes popped out of my head and I couldn’t believe I got to see this beautiful landscape with my own human eyes. Forget the distance, Freyja, we are staying here for the night.
And so we found a little rock cove to shield us from the wind. This is definitely Top 5 of my favorite camping spots. Sure beats the parking lots I’ve napped in 😹
What do you think? Would you rather camp here or be parking stall bunk buddies? 😹
Hello from Drombeg Stone Circle in Glandore, Ireland! 🇮🇪🪨😺
This is an ancient megalithic site dating back to the Bronze Age to early Iron Age and was used until the 5th Century AD. The stone circle features 17 stones, 13 of which are still standing. There were cremated remains of an adolescent in a pot found in the circle’s center. The second photo shows a roasting oven area for heating water and the third photo shows the cooking area.
While it’s amazing to see stones still standing for thousands of years that were influenced by humans, it’s always a bit eerie to me that these stone circles have human remains, so I try not to step on too much of anything out of respect. These monuments are literally graveyards. So after a quick walk around and admiring the feats, I leave and don’t spend too much time at these places.
But now you can enjoy these photos without the eerie feeling I experienced 😺
Hello from Old Head, Ireland!
I’m a solo rider, but sometimes I have the rare opportunity to share a day trip adventure with another traveler for a few hours.
And you know what really makes me feel spoiled? When someone else can take a photo of me and I don’t need to balance my tripod on some slanted hill flooded in muddy sheep poop water and have my GoPro that isn’t actually meant for the tripod be blown from the wind and fall in said mucky water. True story.
When you live on the road, the most basic things you take for granted become absolute luxuries. Does anyone else understand what I mean?
Hello from Cloche na hEireann, a masonry masterpiece in Glencolumbkille, Ireland! 🇮🇪🪨🔨
Ireland is made up of 32 counties. Stonemasons from each county carved their county using natural stone from their own region. Isn’t this impressive? To me, this represents unity and master craftsmanship. It was so impressive!
Would you want to see this masterpiece in person?

Not a cloud in the sky! ☀️
Spoiled by the amazing weather lately. Living on the road makes you appreciate so much. A sunny day so you don’t need to be soaked in the rain, long days so you can ride a little further to see a little more, clean drinking tap water so you can just fill up at a gas station.
Just grateful.
What’s something simple that you are grateful for?
Out in no man’s land
Isolated, alone, not another human as far as the eye can see. There’s a sense of peace when you pull over and remove your helmet. All you hear is the wind, birds and the sound of your own breathing. All you see is nature around.
I’ve grown to crave these moments of pure isolation. There’s a mysterious energy when the mind finally becomes quiet and all you do is observe the space around you, just existing in its presence.
Hello from Ballyliffin, Ireland! 🇮🇪 Ballyliffin is quite amusing to me. It has a population of 426 people as of 2016 and had one grocery store in the entire village which was also a gas station, a newspaper stand and candy store. It’s like men’s 6 in one shampoo, conditioner, face wash, soap, windshield wiper fluid and toothpaste 😹 I’m kidding, sort of Have you ever visited a village with such a low population of people? Did you enjoy it? I like alternating from medium sized cities to villages to change things up. #chasingcrystal #irelandtravel #irelandcalling #ballyliffin #wildatlanticwaydonegal #donegal #donegalireland #donegaltourism (at Ballyliffin) https://www.instagram.com/p/CqYflvJvIOB/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
