You aren't a revolutionary if you’re a spokesperson for a slaughterhouse.
Mandla Mandela just announced a massive "Global Sumud Flotilla" to Gaza, timed perfectly for March 2026. He’s out here yapping about "justice" just as the Gaza ceasefire is finally attempting to move into Stage 2, a transition that requires actual stability, not a manufactured maritime crisis.
The timing isn't an accident. It’s a strategic diversion.
Mandla has been on the payroll of the IRGC since at least 2022, when he flew to Tehran to collect his "Islamic Human Rights Award." He took their trophy then, and he has stayed dead silent while those same benefactors spent the last month liquidating over 30,000 Iranians. We are talking about tens of thousands of students and protesters systematically murdered during a total internet blackout, and Mandla is still acting as the international face for the regime that pulled the triggers.
This flotilla is a business transaction. Iran needs the world to look anywhere else but at the mass graves they just dug in Tehran and Mashhad. Mandla is happy to provide that distraction, using his grandfather's name to give moral cover to a military body that treats its own citizens like target practice.
Nelson Mandela went to prison for 27 years to end state-sponsored murder. Mandla is currently taking awards and orders from a regime that perfected it.
Don't be fooled, the flotilla isn't a rescue mission. It’s a smoke screen for the 30,000 bodies his bosses are trying to hide.

This must be one of the saddest images ever. A sister holding her sister’s dead body. (As a sister) My heart skipped a beat watching her. That gaze is not shock. It is finality. Moments like this do not pass quietly. Brace for change… Here it comes. Am Iran Chai

Rally for Iran
This past week, Penn Persian Society hosted a rally to raise awareness about the recent protests that have been going on in Iran. I had the opportunity to both attend and help plan this event to honor those who have lost their lives. Through this experience, I learned how much the students who have come from Iran have been struggling during the recent protests, and how events like these allow them to still feel connected with their culture and community. I enjoyed being with a group of other Iranians and feeling like I could share in honoring this movement, although I have never lived in Iran myself. I don’t think this experience really challenged any preconceptions or stereotypes for me, nor did it remind me of any similar experiences in my own culture. However, I think this event was a nice way for Iranians to raise awareness for the events happening in their country, especially with the internet outage that makes it difficult for people within Iran to share about current events. Additionally, Penn professors and students shared their thoughts about what is happening in Iran, some of whom spoke in Persian. I enjoyed trying to understand some of the words they were saying and practice my Persian in a real-world context. Additionally, I enjoyed deciphering what certain Persian chants meant using the basic Persian vocabulary that I have learned in class.

An Iranian model wore a black dress with a neckline that looks like a noose on the Cannes red carpet in protest against executions in her home country
Source: yahoo!
This is Liana Modabberi. She’s only 3 years old and she’s hugging a picture of her uncle, Navid Afkari, a national hero.
Navid was a professional wrestler. He was full of life and joy.
However, after protesting for his basic human rights a few years ago, he was sentenced to death after the regime falsely accused him of killing a police officer.
A campaign started to stop the death sentence from being carried out.
There’s a rule that before execution, the prisoners can see and speak with their loved ones one last time.
Navid however, was killed at night. In silence. Without anyone knowing. Without hugging his loved ones for one last time.
This was a shock to all Iranians.
Today, they arrested his sister, Elham Afkari, and her 3 y.o daughter. Shiraz district attorney announced that they transferred Liana in custody to Investigative unit 14.
She’s only 3 years old!
Her mother is also innocent but there’s no news of her as of yet.
