SINCLAIR IS NOT AN ASSHOLE!!!!! He was KIND OF a dick in the VERY. FIRST. SCENE. After that we just?? Don't see him be that rude to people??? HE'S CANONICALLY SWEET TO HIS GIRLFRIEND Y'ALL PMO.
Especially AFTER his redemption arc (which gets conveniently skipped in the show) he's?? Lowkey kinda chill??
In the beginning (especially pre-relationship) he's a little flustery and skittish the moment he recognizes his feelings (his GF just doesn't exist here ok)
I headcanon him as a Narcissist because I am.. projecting my own NPD onto him. This does NOT mean he's a bad person. The whole turning people into cyborgs thing was incredibly fucked up and evil, but like he genuinely believed it was for the greater good (even if he was extremely sadistic in that one panel of the comic books..) But any evil he has inside of him is A), unintentional and B), not because he's a narc.
Before his redemption arc he was more of a stereotypical narc. He didn't recognize his own condition and thusly did not work on his symptoms, he allowed them to take over and make him delusional.
But his redemption didn't make them go away. He still feels internally that he is the single most important person in all of mankind, he just isn't a dick about it. And even without the disorder, how can you blame him? He IS extremely important (which is why it pmo so bad that he's like neglected by his own writers).
All this is to say you are an exception. Not at first, not even after he caught feelings. But eventually, slowly, he started to see you as an equal.
If you're BOTH narcs...? Oh my God.
It's really fucking hard to find other Narcissists (it is, a rare condition after all). Even harder to find ones that don't use it as an excuse to treat you like shit and not work on themselves, furthering the narrative that we're all evil manipulators.

Speaking from experience, you have to be... very careful not to encourage each other's behavior. It's VERY hard when you find someone that you can finally be open with about them.
In the beginning he would unintentionally belittle you, primarily your intelligence. He genuinely wouldn't be doing it on purpose or even realize he was, he thinks he's just... stating the fact that he's smarter than you. Cos like, in his field of intelligence, he is.
You have to teach him that there's more kinds of intelligence than just scientific. He's probably still better at science than you are at your form of intelligence tbh, but that's because he LIVES for it. He feeds it. Most people... don't do that.
If you're interested at all in his studies he is just over the moon. He will infodump for hours if you let him. He'll probably infodump so much that you end up almost as smart as him cos he just... shares literally everything he knows.
Especially if you meet him during/before his first appearance, and you're the only one in the class that actually... agrees with him. Nobody has EVER agreed with him, just made fun of him because they don't understand. He could honestly just kidnap you and turn you into a cyborg right then and there... but like. romantically. his special borg.
But he doesn't. He wants you to like him, and he's noticed that people tend to... not... when he kidnaps them and tortures them while taking away their bodily autonomy. He also doesn't want to mess with your brain or change who you are.
If you somehow found out what he was doing and, weren't utterly disgusted with him..
That's probably when he'd catch feelings for one.
And for two, God he'd be HONORED.
He'd take special care not to torture you as bad as he does the others. He canonically doesn't have anesthetics or painkillers, just tranquilizers. You might get some brain damage from him trying to keep you from waking up during the long, drawn out surgery.
He'll try not to deform you like he does the others. The helmet thing is also, just not necessary. He doesn't need or want to mind control you. You're probably the only one with all of your fingers, too. Like I said, you're special.
To him, you're the only other person that deserves that kind of care.
If you got hurt, let alone KILLED, when invincible broke in... oh he would never be the same. There's a good chance he would just become irredeemable.
Hate hate HATES. When he starts having to work on corpses late into the night, rarely able to see you anymore. But he can't rush his art, that just isn't how it works. He tries, though. Might even train the reanimen to make more reanimen.
Lowkey holds a major grudge against Cecil over it. Tries to convince him to let you work for the GDA as well, so he can at least see you. You may not be as strong as the new, better reanimen, let alone the superheroes, but you can still help.. right?
When his requests inevitably gets denied, he starts working overtime. If you're not deemed strong enough, by God he'll MAKE you strong enough. He'll prove that shiny headed senior citizen wrong if it gets him fired.
After years of hard work and sleepless nights, he's finally done it. He's made you stronger than any reaniman before, which is much easier to do with the one of you than the thousands of them.
Now you can visit him during work (if he doesn't get fired for sleep deprivation fucking up his performance)!
... He gets fired. Not, actually fired in the permanent sense, he's needs after all. But he's deemed unfit to work until he gets actual rest.
