Kidnapped || Lord Sesshomaru ||
A/n: I needed to write more for him.
The first thing you noticed after waking up was that your head hurt.
The second thing you noticed was that you were tied to a tree.
You blinked a few times, staring at the thick ropes around your wrists. Then you looked down at yourself, taking in the dirt on your kimono and the leaves tangled in your fluffy tail as your ears twitched and swiveled.
“Oh,” you said softly. “I’ve been kidnapped.”
Across the clearing, three demons looked up from the fire they had been sitting around.
One of them, a large boar demon with a scar across his snout, frowned. “You say that awfully calmly.”
You smiled at him.The smile, for some reason, made him uncomfortable.
“You should probably untie me,” you said pleasantly.
“Why?” another demon asked, this one lanky and green-skinned. “You ain’t going anywhere.”
You tilted your head then hummed. “Because my husband is coming for me.”
The demons looked at one another then the boar demon laughed.
“Oh? Is that so?” He stood and walked toward you. “And who exactly is your husband?”
You beamed. “Sesshomaru.”
No one replied after your remark, the crackling fire seemed suddenly very loud.
The green-skinned demon stared.
Even the little fox-faced demon who had been chewing on a fish slowly lowered it.
“…What?” the boar demon finally said.
You blinked. “Sesshomaru.”
“No, no.” He waved a hand. “You mean another Sesshomaru.”
You thought about it. "I don't think there are any other Sesshomaru's..."
The green-skinned demon’s face had gone pale as his hand started to shake. "The Lord Sesshomaru?” he asked weakly.
“The one with the crescent moon on his forehead?”
“The one with golden eyes that make you feel like you’re about to die?”
You smiled brightly. “That’s him.”
The fox-faced demon slowly stood. “The one who wears white and carries a giant fluffy pelt over his shoulder?”
The little demon swallowed hard. “The one with that giant sword… Bakusaiga?”
“Oh, yes!” you said happily. “He doesn’t use it all the time, though.”
The entire clearing became deathly silent.
The boar demon’s lips trembled. “…We’re going to die.”
All three demons stared at you as though you had just asked why the sky was blue.
“Because that’s Sesshōmaru!” the green demon shrieked.
“He’s one of the most terrifying daiyōkai alive!”
“Oh.” You smiled. “He’s actually very sweet.”
The boar demon looked like he might faint.
The fox-faced demon pointed at you with a shaking hand. “Why… why would he marry a tanuki?”
You looked offended. “What is that supposed to mean?”
“I-I mean…” He gestured frantically. “You’re… fluffy.”
You looked down at yourself. “I know.”
“And…” He hesitated. “.....Round.”
You gasped softly. “I prefer the term plump.”
The demon winced. “I didn’t mean it badly!”
You huffed and turned your face away. “My husband says I’m soft.”
The demons looked as though they might start crying.
“Oh, we’re dead,” the boar demon muttered.
Then.....A pressure settled over the clearing. The air suddenly became heavy.
No insects chirped, the wind died and even the fire seemed to shrink.
You perked up immediately. “Oh!” you said happily. “He’s here.”
A figure stepped through the trees.
Golden eyes swept across the clearing and landed on you.
The temperature somehow dropped.
The demons collectively stopped breathing.
Sesshōmaru’s gaze slowly moved to the ropes binding your wrists.
His expression did not change.
Which somehow made it worse.
You smiled brightly. “Hello, dear!”
The boar demon began shaking.
Sesshōmaru’s hand moved, very slowly as it then settled on the hilt of his sword.
Three demons immediately dropped to their knees.
“PLEASE DON’T KILL US!” the fox-faced demon screamed as he knelt, face pressed deeply into the dirt.
“We didn’t know she was your wife!” cried the green one.
The boar demon was outright sobbing now.“WE WOULD NEVER HAVE KIDNAPPED HER IF WE’D KNOWN!”
Sesshōmaru’s fingers tightened around his sword.
You watched him for a moment. Then you smiled and wiggled your bound hands. “Could someone untie me first?”
The demons scrambled over each other.
In less than three seconds, the ropes were gone.
You immediately stood. Then promptly tripped over your own tail.
A familiar hand caught you before you could faceplant into the dirt.
You looked up and smiled. “Thank you.”
Sesshomaru stared down at you.
You were covered in leaves.
There was dirt on your cheek.
And somehow, despite having been kidnapped, you looked perfectly content.
“You are unharmed,” he said quietly.
“Were they cruel to you?”
You thought about it. “They gave me fish.”
The demons looked hopeful.
“And then one of them called me round.”
The hope immediately died.
Sesshōmaru’s eyes narrowed.
The fox-faced demon pointed frantically. “It was him!”
“It was an accident!” the green demon cried.
The boar demon had accepted death and was lying face-first on the ground.
You giggled softly before slipping your arm around your husband’s.
Immediately, some of the tension left him.
You leaned against him. “Let’s go home.”
You smiled. “I’m hungry.”
The entire clearing went silent again.
Because somehow, after being kidnapped, nearly witnessing a massacre, and standing beside one of the most feared daiyōkai in existence…You were thinking about dinner.
A very long sigh escaped Sesshomaru.
Then, to the absolute shock of the three trembling demons, he sheathed his sword.
The demons stared.He…wasn’t killing them?
You tugged on his sleeve. “Can we have noodles?”
Sesshomaru blinked then turned away from the three trembling demons. “Very well.”
You beamed. The smile that appeared on your face was so bright that even the terrified demons relaxed a little.
You waved at them cheerfully, smile still bright as the sun. "Have a nice day!" Then you happily walked away, clinging to Sesshomaru's arm.
The three demons watched the pair disappear into the trees.
After several long moments, the fox-faced demon spoke. “…Did we just survive because she was hungry?”
The boar demon slowly lifted his face from the dirt, the demon coughing up a leaf. “I think… we did.”
The green demon shuddered.
Far off in the forest, they heard your delighted voice.
“I want noodles and dumplings and maybe rice cakes!”
Then Sesshomaru’s calm reply drifted back. “You may have all three.”
The three demons stared after the disappearing couple.
Finally, the boar demon wiped tears from his eyes.
“…That terrifying lord is completely in love with that tanuki.”
