Kidnapped || Lord Sesshomaru ||
A/n: I needed to write more for him.
The first thing you noticed after waking up was that your head hurt.
The second thing you noticed was that you were tied to a tree.
You blinked a few times, staring at the thick ropes around your wrists. Then you looked down at yourself, taking in the dirt on your kimono and the leaves tangled in your fluffy tail as your ears twitched and swiveled.
âOh,â you said softly. âIâve been kidnapped.â
Across the clearing, three demons looked up from the fire they had been sitting around.
One of them, a large boar demon with a scar across his snout, frowned. âYou say that awfully calmly.â
You smiled at him.The smile, for some reason, made him uncomfortable.
âYou should probably untie me,â you said pleasantly.
âWhy?â another demon asked, this one lanky and green-skinned. âYou ainât going anywhere.â
You tilted your head then hummed. âBecause my husband is coming for me.â
The demons looked at one another then the boar demon laughed.
âOh? Is that so?â He stood and walked toward you. âAnd who exactly is your husband?â
You beamed. âSesshomaru.â
No one replied after your remark, the crackling fire seemed suddenly very loud.
The green-skinned demon stared.
Even the little fox-faced demon who had been chewing on a fish slowly lowered it.
ââŠWhat?â the boar demon finally said.
You blinked. âSesshomaru.â
âNo, no.â He waved a hand. âYou mean another Sesshomaru.â
You thought about it. "I don't think there are any other Sesshomaru's..."
The green-skinned demonâs face had gone pale as his hand started to shake. "The Lord Sesshomaru?â he asked weakly.
âThe white-haired one?â
âThe one with the crescent moon on his forehead?â
âThe one with golden eyes that make you feel like youâre about to die?â
You smiled brightly. âThatâs him.â
The fox-faced demon slowly stood. âThe one who wears white and carries a giant fluffy pelt over his shoulder?â
âYes.â You nodded again.
The little demon swallowed hard. âThe one with that giant sword⊠Bakusaiga?â
âOh, yes!â you said happily. âHe doesnât use it all the time, though.â
The entire clearing became deathly silent.
The boar demonâs lips trembled. ââŠWeâre going to die.â
All three demons stared at you as though you had just asked why the sky was blue.
âBecause thatâs SesshĆmaru!â the green demon shrieked.
âHeâs one of the most terrifying daiyĆkai alive!â
âOh.â You smiled. âHeâs actually very sweet.â
The boar demon looked like he might faint.
The fox-faced demon pointed at you with a shaking hand. âWhy⊠why would he marry a tanuki?â
You looked offended. âWhat is that supposed to mean?â
âI-I meanâŠâ He gestured frantically. âYouâre⊠fluffy.â
You looked down at yourself. âI know.â
âAndâŠâ He hesitated. â.....Round.â
You gasped softly. âI prefer the term plump.â
The demon winced. âI didnât mean it badly!â
You huffed and turned your face away. âMy husband says Iâm soft.â
The demons looked as though they might start crying.
âOh, weâre dead,â the boar demon muttered.
Then.....A pressure settled over the clearing. The air suddenly became heavy.
No insects chirped, the wind died and even the fire seemed to shrink.
You perked up immediately. âOh!â you said happily. âHeâs here.â
A figure stepped through the trees.
Golden eyes swept across the clearing and landed on you.
The temperature somehow dropped.
The demons collectively stopped breathing.
SesshĆmaruâs gaze slowly moved to the ropes binding your wrists.
His expression did not change.
Which somehow made it worse.
You smiled brightly. âHello, dear!â
The boar demon began shaking.
SesshĆmaruâs hand moved, very slowly as it then settled on the hilt of his sword.
Three demons immediately dropped to their knees.
âPLEASE DONâT KILL US!â the fox-faced demon screamed as he knelt, face pressed deeply into the dirt.
âWe didnât know she was your wife!â cried the green one.
The boar demon was outright sobbing now.âWE WOULD NEVER HAVE KIDNAPPED HER IF WEâD KNOWN!â
SesshĆmaruâs fingers tightened around his sword.
You watched him for a moment. Then you smiled and wiggled your bound hands. âCould someone untie me first?â
The demons scrambled over each other.
In less than three seconds, the ropes were gone.
You immediately stood. Then promptly tripped over your own tail.
A familiar hand caught you before you could faceplant into the dirt.
You looked up and smiled. âThank you.â
Sesshomaru stared down at you.
You were covered in leaves.
There was dirt on your cheek.
And somehow, despite having been kidnapped, you looked perfectly content.
âYou are unharmed,â he said quietly.
âWere they cruel to you?â
You thought about it. âThey gave me fish.â
The demons looked hopeful.
âAnd they let me nap.â
âAnd then one of them called me round.â
The hope immediately died.
SesshĆmaruâs eyes narrowed.
The fox-faced demon pointed frantically. âIt was him!â
âIt was an accident!â the green demon cried.
The boar demon had accepted death and was lying face-first on the ground.
You giggled softly before slipping your arm around your husbandâs.
Immediately, some of the tension left him.
You leaned against him. âLetâs go home.â
You smiled. âIâm hungry.â
The entire clearing went silent again.
Because somehow, after being kidnapped, nearly witnessing a massacre, and standing beside one of the most feared daiyĆkai in existenceâŠYou were thinking about dinner.
A very long sigh escaped Sesshomaru.
Then, to the absolute shock of the three trembling demons, he sheathed his sword.
The demons stared.HeâŠwasnât killing them?
You tugged on his sleeve. âCan we have noodles?â
Sesshomaru blinked then turned away from the three trembling demons. âVery well.â
You beamed. The smile that appeared on your face was so bright that even the terrified demons relaxed a little.
You waved at them cheerfully, smile still bright as the sun. "Have a nice day!" Then you happily walked away, clinging to Sesshomaru's arm.
The three demons watched the pair disappear into the trees.
After several long moments, the fox-faced demon spoke. ââŠDid we just survive because she was hungry?â
The boar demon slowly lifted his face from the dirt, the demon coughing up a leaf. âI think⊠we did.â
The green demon shuddered.
Far off in the forest, they heard your delighted voice.
âI want noodles and dumplings and maybe rice cakes!â
Then Sesshomaruâs calm reply drifted back. âYou may have all three.â
The three demons stared after the disappearing couple.
Finally, the boar demon wiped tears from his eyes.
ââŠThat terrifying lord is completely in love with that tanuki.â
