Thomas spent his entire life in Limbus on the border between the rich and the poor.

His family avoided servitude by the skin of their teeth, being able to just barely stay out of debt and in good health

Thomas has an older brother and a younger sister. His Mothers work as a cook and a healer. They both taught Thomas their respective trades.

Thomas used to spend a lot of time on the wall bordering the Glitch. He had a fondness for sitting on the top and staring out across the wasteland, wondering what was out there.

It was on his fifteenth birthday when he found Caden slumped against the wall on the wrong side. He cared for Caden, hid him from the city patrol on several occasions, and fell in love with him.

Thomas never asked Caden about the Glitch. He knew Caden would talk if he wanted.

At sixteen, Thomas got caught in the middle of a riot. He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. As punishment for their crimes all those involved in the riots were either banished to the glitched or put in chains. Thomas became a slave and, before Caden could rescue him, he was moved to another city.

I am a fictive in a system (If you would like to speak with them, they (and I) interact from @undercity-collective) I am aware of what my source has done. But I also acknowledge that this is a new life, and I am not that man anymore.

Edit: It turns out we are a subsystem! The only other one you will need to worry about is Ideal [pt: Ideal]. Ideal uses it/he pronouns and is also a fictive with the same source character as me! It is an adult as well.

following our schedule, we have posted our first intro post today ~ the editorial team!

in preparation for this, I did meet a few complications. Firstly, Katlin was meant to do the edits for me as she volunteered to, but she unfortunately fell very ill during the start of the madness with corona virus and I found this out a day before we were meant to post.

I took it upon myself to edit the photos and bios myself as I didn’t want to put pressure on another member of the production team.

I tried various apps and struggled at first, but ended up using PicsArt to generate the aesthetic post style we were after. I sent examples through to Chrysel for help in deciding.

After a lot of editing, comparing and discussing, we finally settled on a design. Which we also decided would be the same for each post. We also chose to post in ‘carousels’ so we could lessen the amount of posts and increase engagement on each one.

This was the final result:

Twins Charlie and Ginny Elsworth grew up in the company of the ten percent. Springs in Paris, autumns spent on a superyacht wandering through the Mediterranean, winters in Austria or Switzerland. But summers? Summers were always spent in Riverdale. The twins were used to fending for themselves, used to the mounting pressure to be perfect, used to the strange business meetings in their homes at midnight, used to grasping at straws for their parent’s acceptance, but in Riverdale? They had Cheryl and Jason Blossom, perfect twin children of Charlie and Ginny’s parent’s longtime friends and business partners. Summers were spent with the four of them hiding in the forest near Sweetwater river, pretending that nothing else existed, that the four of them was all that there was in the world. And then those golden summers ended. When Jason was brutally murdered that summer’s end their tenth grade year, Charlie and Ginny were heartbroken, adamant that they stay, to be with Cheryl. But they were refused, and Charlie and Ginny found themselves cut off from a broken Cheryl, and from Riverdale. While years passed, horrible stories of dark rumors and evil acts floated around the subject of the town with pep. Five years later, Ginny has managed to manipulate their parents into letting the two of them attend Riverdale Specialatory School of Higher Learning, the country’s most elite private college, to finish out their degree programs, and the two of them are eager to reconnect with their former best friend. What they don’t know, however, is that Riverdale is still far from peaceful, and things can and do still go bump in the night. Things that shouldn’t be disturbed, and things that hold secrets about why their parent’s really kept them from going back to Riverdale all those years. Strange things are stirring outside the dorms. 

Born to an upper-class family

She rebelled and left the family when she saw how awfully the poor were being treated and how willingly the rich turned the other way

Kayla joined Sevrin three months after Caden she needed the money and thought she’d be able to put her newfound skills to good use

She can handle herself in a fight, and Caden often remarks that if there was anyone he would want to have his back it would be Kayla

Her preferred weapon is a gun, however, she’ll settle for knives because they’re the easiest to access and they’re Caden’s weapon of choice

She’s unfailingly loyal to her friends

Caden was born in Limbus. 

His parents, in a moment of desperation, willingly entered into the Montgomery household (willingly becoming servants/slaves isn’t all too common but it does happen). 

When Caden’s father was caught stealing from the Montgomery’s he was banished to the Glitch along with Caden’s mother. They’re assumed to be dead as no one survives the Glitch.

Caden took their place in the house from the age of 9.

At the age of 12 he ran away, bringing a whole lot of embarrassment down on the Montgomery family, and found himself stuck out in the Glitch for three years.

He stumbled back into the city half dead. Thomas found him and nursed him back to health.

Caden and Thomas spent a year together before Thomas was forced into servitude and transported to another city.
