Her fingers thrum against the wooden windowsill as she gapes through glass, rain smattering against the pane. A million raindrops reflect her glazed over eyes, slipping slowly in streaks as lightning ripples across the sky and the thunder rumbles down to her toes. Sarya sighs. Itâs the third day in a row for a storm and she wants to be out in it. But not really in it. Thereâs much to do. Not enough done.
Long fingers reach out to still her own and his other hand wraps around her waist. He kisses her neck. Itâs near her chin, that sweet spot that makes her tingle and chime. And she hums a sigh of delight as those kisses, like rivulets, streak down her neck. His lips, they are the lightning under her skin. Thunder in her belly.

A farmer's perfume is in his sweat, a soldier's in his blood, a poet's in his ink, a janitor's in his very stench. Don't belittle what a man does to earn his bread. Each profession has a nobility of its own. In the grand picture, the king and the servant holds the same worth, roles have only differed, but they both are needed. As goes the age old wisdom: "where a needle is to be used, a sword won't do!"

âThe best type of monster is humanoid. This is my hottest take. The battles that you play in DnD against traditional monsters are awesome but monsters mythologically represent forces of nature in a lot of instances or of otherness that is inherently dehumanized. A monster is an abstract for having no humanity. Killing monsters is kind of problematic because itâs the fun of violence (which satiates our most base instinct) without any moral weight of considering your actions. Similarly I think humanoid villains in games are extremely gratifying on a literary level. In the best horror fiction of Alien or Walking Dead, the best zombie stuff, the best monster movies- we are always the most horrified when one of the human characters betrays the other humans. How selfish, what a villain! The best combat encounters are often going to have an opposition against somebody who forces you to recognize the dark side of the playersâ humanity. Overall the best combat encounters, my best enemies, have always been humanoid. What brings you to resolve things violently as a last resort when you and another humanoid take up arms against each other.â- Brennan Lee Mulligan
To ascribe intrinsic or independent value to anything is to say, in effect, that things can have existence and goodness independent of God. Non-Christians wish this were the case because they want the fruit of Christianity without having to bow the knee to Christ. But Ecclesiastes makes it very clear: under the sun (i.e., excluding the heavens where God is), everything is intrinsically meaningless and vain.
