Here we go again. Last night I was hit by the second infection of my salivary glands. This will apparently be a semi-regular occurrence in my life since having all that radiation blasted into my jaw damaged the glands and has led to regular issues with dry mouth (insert stoner joke here). - - But here’s the thing - I wouldn’t have it any other way. Living your life means that you get damaged. There’s no way to avoid it. Carrying this damage and pain means that you still get to be alive, to feel and to experience reality. For all the things we can point to in our lives that are terrible, we still get to live. No matter what, I’m glad I’m here, but I’m even happier that you’re here - you, whoever is reading this. We’re on a giant stone rocket ship hurtling through an empty void, and we get to do it together. Even though my entire face aches down to my jaw bone, I’m pleased as Punch that I still get to feel that. - - I’m grateful for this moment, and all the people who have helped me reach it, especially in the last year. Tom, Ricky, Erin, and especially my baby boo Kelsey. I love you all. - - - #lifeandlivinit #intohebriarpatch https://www.instagram.com/p/B0bdeJsg8vZ/?igshid=v8cvnt8ycz42
