Can we talk about the fact that Chala Hunter, Heated Rivalry's intimacy coordinator, made the show what it is but gets credited way near the end of the credits???
Like, that woman should be up there with the designers and director and writer and composer. With her name by itself on the screen. And she should have a goddamn Canadian Screen Award, like can they add a category???
That's a creative role, and a central one. In the same way that the show would have been notably worse if it had even a slightly worse costume designer (shoutout Hanna Puley, excellent costume designer credited appropriately near the start), it would have been notably worse if it had had even a slightly worse intimacy person. Anyway give that woman a big shiny award and a solo credit near the beginning next season pleaseeeeee also shoutout to the good intimacy directors out there ily
idk if this makes me sound weird but its always nice to see that tv shows or movies are clearly using modesty garments on set during intimate scenes (or just nudity).
its just great, because it contributes to the overall comfort of everybody, and thats really all that we want.
also, im glad that we (the audience) dont have to be subjected to anything swinging around, thats a nightmare. no matter how much you like an actor, nobody needs to see all that.

Speaking about Intimacy Coordinators, Kiko Mizuhara, one for two main leads for GL film Ride or Die, suggested the use of Intimacy Coordinators after the director of Ride or Die was accused of SA. She apparently asked Netflix for an intimacy coordinator after reportedly feeling uncomfortable with the direction of the sex scenes she had to do. Netflix accepted her request but according to staff, the director was not happy with that decision and reportedly verbal abused her on set. After her public statements, she got attacked online specifically for being half Korean. I remember the poor girl went on Instagram live in tears because the backlash she was getting.

Was Sam instructed to kiss in a particular timid way? Since what we have seen till now is mostly not the real Lestat ? Don't they discuss every single movement with the intimacy coordinator and the director? I wish that was the case. I hope things change with the real Lestat. Would love to see more tounge.

really hope hudson and connor get to speak with more journalists/press who give them the opportunity to give serious, thoughtful answers like this during the s2 press tour. seeing them do the chaotic interviews together is obviously so much fun, but I love when we get to have discussions like THIS too.
