Wrecker groaned, âFirst the bounty hunter on Pantora and now this guy? Why are they all after the kid?â
âBecause she is more valuable than we realized,â Tech said, âI further analyzed Omegaâs genetic profile and discovered she has pure, first-generation DNA.â
âLike Jango Fettâs? You mean, unaltered?â Saachi asked.
âPrecisely.â Saachi took the datapad from Tech, only for her headache to make a piercing reappearance, as she stared into the glowing blue light. She forced it away, comparing the information that Tech had on Omegaâs DNA and that of Jango Fettâs.
âWait, w-what does that mean?â Wrecker asked.
âWhile our genetic structure was modified for growth acceleration and obedience, Omega is a pure, genetic replication.â
âHow many clones like that exist?â Hunter asked, looking over Saachiâs shoulder at the datapad. Saachi handed it to him.
âTo my knowledge, thereâs only one otherâ a male clone code-named âAlphaâ, later referred to as âBobaâ.â
âSince he disappeared at the start of the war, that makes Omega the sole living source of Fettâs raw genetic material.â Saachi said. She rubbed her temples, trying to make her headache go away.
âIf sheâs vital to the Kaminoansâ cloning operation, they must have put the bounty on her!â Echo realized.
âSo, how do we find this bounty hunter?â Wrecker asked, fists clenched.
Hunter started giving orders. âTech, check with Cid, see if her contacts know anything. Weâll keep monitoring comms.â
âYou know,â Saachi started loudly, âIf the Kaminoans want her, thereâs only one place sheâll end upâ-back on Kamino.â Where the Empire had a firm grip.
âBane wonât go there. He attempted to kidnap Palpatine during the war,â Echo reasoned.
Hunter squeezed Saachiâs shoulder. âThe Empire wouldnât let him near any of their military strongholds. Our best bet is to intercept him before he makes it there. Otherwise, we might all end up captured.â
