It worries me how comfortable we are with intermingling these days. We don't even consider half of our interactions with the opposite gender as needless or unnecessary, we just consider them harmless. We don't find the harm in adding them to our social media or speaking to them casually like good old friends if we see them. We don't think there's anything wrong with meeting up or hanging out as long as "it's in a group" or "it's in a public setting." "Oh we aren't talking about anything bad and we can really benefit from each other's experiences." Do we not think any fitnah can occur from these situations regardless? Do we not think these public conversations can easily be diverted to private ones? Even if they don't, where is our gheerah for our deen to protect ourselves? Even later on in life when you are married and you have children, these little things can cause such huge problems. Those who intermingle like to pass it off as just being friendly but believe me when I say that all the boundary lines get blurred the more you engage in it. Any marriage on its own has too many trials for you or your spouse to bring in more intentionally. & there are already too many misleading ways for your children to follow for you to not lead them by example. Stick to the Qur'an and Sunnah. This behaviour is not from it. It does not benefit your Deen or Dunya; whatever does not benefit you, only harms you.

In Syria, US Rejects Russia Call to Name al-Qaeda Allies ‘Terrorist’
The total muddle that is US policy toward Syria continues to astonish. This week we saw the spectacle of a State Department Spokesman telling us that President Obama’s promise to not put US boots on the ground in Syria, was never a promise not to put boots on the…
