Law x reader : overworking bf
It's been a while since i last wrote so i'm working ts up twin❤️🩹
I'm not really good with fanfics n shit + i'm very tired but i hope at least someone will enjoy this🥹
it was 2AM, and your boyfriend, Law Trafalgar, wasn't home yet. He got things going on and left hours ago. You were waiting for him,the big space in the bed too overwhelming for you to relax. Just as you were consumed by your thoughts, you hear something ;
Click
The door opens, and you find law at the entrance. You get up to greet your boyfriend with a soft "welcome back home, honey" and lean against him. His dark circles were deeper than usual, mostly due to his plan against doflamingo, not like he was getting any sleep anyway.
He leans against you,his head resting on your shoulder, his arms finding purpose around your waist as he relaxes in your embrace."You're feeling sleepy, dear? Let's go to bed an-" you didn't get to finish your sentence as you heard soft snores against your skin. "Don't tell me you fell asleep while standing up" you thought to yourself.
Thanks to the chores you've been dealing with penguin and bepo, you lifted him up quite easily (this guy is just bones n sticks icl) and threw him on your shoulder like a sack of potatoes, your hand grabbing his ass for support. "Let's go, law" you chuckled.
Once you were in bed, you gently laid him down, and put him in more comfortable clothes. You took off his hat and put it aside before rolling him around the blanket, like he was in a cocoon.
You lay on him, arms wrapping around his sushi-like silhouette while giving soft kisses all over his face and a last one, longer, on his soft lips.
Finally, you lay beside him and lazily put an arm around him, holding him tightly as your eyes slowly closed.
And now it was 5AM, 3hours later
The sound of the rain hitting against the window ended up disturbing your sleep. You opened your eyes and noticed that (somehow) Law got rid of the blanket and wrapped himself around you,his legs and arms caging you against his body. You look up to his face and notice the small blush and redness on the tips of his ears. "Cute" you thought to yourself, your smile growing.
Your hand reaches up to cup his face, squishing his cheek. Then, you reach behind his head, massaging his skull. He groans sleepily, leaning against you for more, you can feel him starting to relax, little by little. "You must've worked so hard, huh captain? It's time to take a break" you said as you kissed him on the lips.
Your hand goes to his back, softly massaging his tense shoulders. You hear him saying weak "thank you"s, his nonchalance fading away as you both drift off to sleep.
He felt at ease with you,he loved you dearly.
From Glass Onion and The Menu to Triangle of Sadness , right now, there's only one message (ironically) coming out of Hollywood: rich people
Even the phrase “eat the rich” feels trite. It neatly sums up a tote bag slogan era of anti-capitalism in culture, cutesy shorthand that’s now entirely representative of a watered down, inoffensive type of politics. You could argue that satire born out of this politics is predictable because its targets are predictable: we all know rich people suck and perhaps they don’t necessarily deserve nuance. But the beauty of good satire is in using a scalpel to eviscerate a subject, by having a distinct perspective and striking with precision. - Patrick Sproull, "Why all “eat the rich” satire looks the same now"

based on tarot. i don't know these idols personally. energies are always changing. everything i state is for entertainment purposes only, alleged and NOT straight fact. pls take it with a grain of salt!
The show is making positive steps - but is also at risk of making negative ones.

When you live inside of your shame, everything you see is inadequate and embarrassing.
As someone who's flirted with a burnout for the past couple of years, who's muddled through some mental-health related issues, who went through a traumatic breakup, and who's still torturing themselves trying to finish a PhD in a highly competitive field, some of this definitely resonated with me deeply. It's a constant effort to not slip into bad or damaging behaviors, and trying to stay ahead of the stress and worries and anxieties of everyday life while being neurodivergent. I've seen some of the people closest to me go through similar ups and downs, the way they get trapped in the vicious cycle of stagnation and inability to move forward out of fear of being unable to change, the way it erodes at our social lives and colours our interactions. The way our responsibilities as adults trying to function in a dysfunctional world bog us down and corrode our ability to diversify our lives, struggling to find motivation and inspiration to get back to doing the things we love and enjoy our hobbies and free time without feeling guilty about it...this article contexthalises a lot of that. The way it talks about shame and learning how to live with it instead of letting it consume you was definitely some much needed food for thought, and an interesting read.
