Tossing the last of his shirts into his suitcase, Dave sighed, placing his hands on his hips and surveying the room as he attempted to ensure they hadn’t left anything behind. The shuffle of Brett’s footsteps behind him drew him from his thoughts, and Dave turned to pull his boyfriend to him slowly, pressing a kiss to his forehead. “Hey, babe. Do you have everything? I’m...Really sorry we weren’t able to stay a little longer. I wanted to, but...Mom...” His brows furrowed as his eyes fell, an obviously worried expression on his face. “I’m so happy you came with me, though. I can’t tell you how much fun I’ve had, just taking this all in, with you.”

It appears as though everyone will be partaking in thrilling plans this weekend. Congratulations. I extend my sincerest hopes you all enjoy yourselves. I, however, will be spending the majority of the weekend finishing the book I have been reading on WWI, as well as finishing a much-anticipated documentary on the French Revolution. Wowza, it has been a hot minute since I’ve posted any sort of update! But, I thought now would be a good time, with the long weekend! The trip to New York has been incredible, I’m honestly sad that we have to leave tomorrow. I fought coming out here for so long, but getting to experience the city with Brett has opened my eyes to how cool things around here are. I’m excited to get back to my students, and my house, but I think we’ll definitely be coming back before too long! I think we’re going to head to Oliver Bray’s cookout this afternoon, so if we haven’t had the chance to see each other during this visit yet, I definitely want to see you there!  @atfgstarters​
