This system uses our Normal Bright Flexible strips to provide accent lighting to a staircase. Also used were our plug-in screw terminal connectors, bulk in-wall cable, a 40w E-Series Dimmable Transformer, and a compatible wall dimmer/switch. The Normal Bright Flexible strips offer nice accent lighting with 30 LEDs per meter, this makes it the perfect candidate for under lighting stair treads. Measuring Available Space for LED Strips:

To illuminate each step on the stair case we measured the entire length of the tread and subtracted 1.5” from one side to leave room for power connections. Since we are not interconnecting these LED stair light strips we only need one side of the LED strip for connections.

This system consists of two custom fixtures that we installed our Ultra Bright flexible LED strips into. The system is split among three different 40w E-Series transformers all controlled from one Lutron dimmer/switch. Interconnect cables were used to connect the LED strips together. Measuring Available Space for LED Strips:

To find the amount of LED strips we need for the fixtures we had to find the diameter of each ring. We also had to form the circle with multiple LED strips instead of just one long LED strip. This is because the ring is partitioned in certain areas where the LED strip could not pass through. With the larger ring we used 8 – 42.5” Custom LED strips and with the smaller ring we used 6 – 33” LED Strips.

This simple system created a nice accent light above the LED Soffit in the Living Room using a plug in power supply and a custom 24V flex strip.

Measure available space for flex:

To build this set up, you will need to first measure out the entire length of the area where the flex strip will be mounted. Once you have the full measurement you will need t subtract 3” in order to make room for the cable connectors on each side.

Mounting the flex strips:

With this project there is only one way the flex strip could be mounted, which is on the soffit facing straight up towards the ceiling. The only thing to decide on is how far away from the wall/windows you would like to place the strip. This is where preference of the installer comes to play because some people prefer to mount it about 2” from the wall while others prefer to place it more in the middle of the soffit. A good way to decide on which mounting option you prefer is to use painters tape to hold the flex in place so you can see how the lights will look when installed. Once the mounting option has been decided you will want to clean the area where you plan on placing the flex with isopropyl alcohol to remove any dust or dirt.

This is a 24VDC RGBW color changing system for a custom made glass countertop. We used our impressions series retrofit aluminum channel to recess the LED strip into the wall. To control the system we used an RF Single Zone RGBW controller, and a 5 conductor cable to connect the RGBW LED strip to the controller. Measuring the available space for the LED Strips:

This system has a large glass countertop for a bathroom vanity that the customer wanted to highlight with a color changing LED strip. We measured the LED strip to the same width as the countertop so the entire glass countertop would light up.
