He did not mourn the bee wasp. He even took pleasure from it.
(This post was edited to correct the misidentification of the insect and ruin the stupid joke, i.e. not a mourning bee).
Mönchsgrasmücke ♂️ (blackcap) am Pfaffensee, Stuttgart-West.
Spent a lot of time looking for damselflies and dragonflies in 2024.
1) American rubyspot (Hetaerina americana), 2) Halloween pennant (Celithemis eponina), 3) Swift setwing (Dythemis velox), 4) Blue dasher (Pachydiplax longipennis), 5) Blue-ringed dancer (Argia sedula) with long-legged fly prey, 6) Orange bluets (Enallagma signatum) in tandem, a mating behavior
is it just me or do these random cockroach repellents bear a resemblance to the smug bug smite guys
dude i saved a yellow sac spider from the tub and went to put it in the bathroom corner and it jumped out of my fucking hand directly into the web of a cellar spider which immediately attacked and killed and wrapped it up

A diary comic from a year ago- I was struggling with a lot of guilt and depression at the time and this event did NOT make anything better! If I could I would go back and tell this guy to take a deep breath and go sit outside for a while. He really needed it
Been learning insect pinning so I can make art with them and they can be eternally immortalized 🫶
so yesterday @rukewastestime and I were playing a tabletop game, and the window must’ve been open or something because Ruke was startled to see a bee crawling behind him on the floor. No preamble, no buzzing beforehand, there’s just a very confused bee crawling onthe carpet.
Now, I love bees of all sorts. So i, being the Designated Bug Catcher in this relationship, picked up a piece of paper and gently scooped up the bee with the intent of taking her outside. I’ve done this a million times before and I strode forward to the balcony door with the confidence of someone who catches some spiders barehanded.
Unfortunately the bee does not Like being moved around and is just crawling around the piece of paper I’m using like a sailor on a turbulent and airborne raft. And deciding that it is far too risky to remain there, it falls off the corner of the sheet and bonks on the window.
Now, unfortunately for everyone (but one individual) involved, the windowsill happened to be home to a spider and its webs, and when free food descended from above and into her home, she sprung upon the bee with all the excitement of an anaemic woman tearing into a steak.
And Ruke watched as I stood there with big sad eyes, because I cannot pick favourites and the spider dragged the bee out of sight.
We got back to the tabletop game and Ruke tried to allow me a couple of Quirkle scores, but I was bummed for 10 minutes for seeing gore of my comfort character.
