Here's to headspace exomemories!
In complex dissociative disorders, headspaces/innerworlds are often defense mechanics a young child comes up with to feel safe. But, for you, it might just be somewhere to hang out with your headmates! Both are normal experiences, and should be appreciated!
Shoutout to:
Funny headspace moments, like inside jokes and such
Violence of some sort, whether "cartoonish" violence or real violence (we have experience with this, shoot us an ask if you're in a similar situation or need advice)
Sad moments, like headmates going dormant
Happy moments, such as getting to hug your loved ones
Anything else I missed!
Headspaces can be full of whimsy, joy, grief, and every emotion in between. Take some time today to appreciate yours, too, if you have one!
Stay safe!

âTHE DIMENSION OF CREATION â VISIONâ I create not to capture, but to release the unseen â the pulse between form and feeling, the breath between silence and color. My art is a translation of inner frequencies, a dialogue between matter and meaning. I sculpt dimensions where geometry dreams, and abstraction becomes emotion incarnate. Every line I draw is an echo of becoming, every color a vibration of memory unspoken. Creation is my devotion â a ritual where chaos and clarity merge. In my world, the canvas is alive. It breathes, it listens, it reveals what the mind hides and what the heart dares to imagine. The process is sacred â paint, digital pulse, vision, vibration â each a note in the symphony of my becoming. I do not design images; I invoke realities. My creations are mirrors of consciousness, multi-dimensional experiences, where the viewer becomes the art, and the art becomes the viewer. This is ELGNART â a frontier of emotion, geometry, and light. An Art beyond beauty, toward the very essence of artistic creation. @elgnart
Thoughts on Innerworlds:
Theyâre not physical locations that system members actually live & walk around in, but the brain may make them perceive it that way.
When we front, we can ârememberâ what happened in our innerworld while we were there. Since we share a brain, we all have the same âstorylineâ there, which has created consistent âmemoriesâ from within our innerworld over the years.
Weâve had things happen there that have helped us process & recover from things that happened in the outerworld. (Itâs why itâs used as a therapeutic technique.)
Thereâs a fine line with it. Itâs possible to rely too heavily on the innerworld to escape the stress of this life, which, for many CDD systems, was the only way they could survive. Once itâs safe to do so, it is important to draw up a healthy distinction between innerworld reality and physical reality. But, on the other hand, entirely denying the legitimacy of innerworld events can greatly hinder healing.
Oftentimes, innerworld happenings are metaphorical. They occur because thereâs something the brain/system needs to work through. For example, a âphysical fightâ occurring within the innerworld may represent clashing morals between two system members, and signify that the misalignment needs to be addressed.
So, are innerworlds ârealâ? Maybe not in the way the walls of my house are, but itâs real in that itâs a significant part of how my brain functions. To deny that reality entirely is to deny the very thoughts in my head, simply because I canât touch them & otherâs canât see them.

is anything real? If I can script every single thing to be a specific way then isn't that power so great that it makes you lonely because no one is actually real
Helloooo and thank for the ask.
I've asked myself that question more than once. It's a scary implication: being alone in this big empty universe. But once I understood shifting a lil' better, it became a lot less scary.
Here's something to chew on:
Youâre not inventing people. Youâre meeting versions of them.
Scripting doesn't make your world fake. Scripting is just tuning you to a version that fits you better. Everyone around you still has thoughts of their own. They still dread going to work tomorrow, they still watch rereuns of Friends for the 500th time even tho it sucks. People will stay people.
I suppose loneliness would only show up if you assume it to be that way. Much in the same way that a depressed non-shifter will accidentally manifest less friends. But I don't think that's what you're doing.
If anything, shifting will bring you closer to others in a way that is more purposeful.
And the fact you're wrestling with this tells me your mind is quite sharp. You're seeing the bigger picture here. That's good. Put that energy towards attracting the things you wantânot the things you don't.
I hope I was able to reassure you of some things.
In sum: You are not alone. Don't be afraid of your power.
Sguardi animi
Whispers of Imagination
In this ethereal moment, a solitary figure sits before a swirling vortex of creativity, surrounded by a cascade of scattered pages and books. The light emanating from the center beckons like a portal to another realm, inviting us to explore the boundless landscapes of our imagination. Itâs a reminder of the transformative power of storytelling and how art can transport us to places weâve only dreamed of. Each piece of paper on the ground serves as a testament to the journey taken, filled with thoughts, dreams, and inspiration. As I reflect on this imagery, I invite you to ponder: what stories are swirling in your mind, waiting to be released?
