Finished The Golden Compass yesterday on January 1st. I listened to the audio book but I also have the physical one. I really loved it, I wish I had read it as a child, I would have been obsessed. I felt like it perfectly balanced the feelings of danger and safety. This book felt like a warm hug even if scary things happen in it.

Anyone else feel like your brain is accelerating and its unsteadying?!

You're walking down this sidewalk all around you there is shops, stores and cars...walk into a store and your not sure what you want...you could spend ages in there. If you do find what you're looking for, well your in and out. But the store is not the only place on your travels...your just stepping into it for a little while. You have to eventually step out of it and continue on your journey (wherever or whatever it might be) but one can get easily distracted by everything along the way. Life is like this, in more ways than we realize.
