Inktober 2025 - Jour 1 - Moustache (Art by me)
Inktober2025 - Jour 0 Soleil Rouge (Art by me)
Part of my "Black Black Gold" series of surreal ink drawings. Should we wait for greatness to happen? Or is it always coincidence to witness it? Can it be made by others or only by the ones delivering it? If it is expected, does it not become a burden more than a joyful event? How much does greatness depend on perception - can not anything be great, or is a crowd's approval necessary?
The drawing is done on thin black paper with gold metallic marker and has glitter and glitter stars collaged to it. The figure has been drawn with black ink that has a shine to it, making it stand out at almost any angle. Finally, patterned film has been used to depict the robes of the figure. "Within Earshot of Unsung Songs", Ink, collage, and marker on paper, 33×43cm. Available on Etsy for 140€: https://www.etsy.com/de-en/listing/1311874129/songbirds-black-and-gold-ink-drawing
From my Black Black Gold series. The roots of where we came from should not dominate us so we progress forward and do no remain the same forever. Even the most basic urges are easily overcome once recognized as an obstacle. Keeping in mind where we came from recently should not make us disrespect our roots however.

From my Black Black Gold series. We live in a time of abundance, and have not realized that with it survival has become and had to become more than the question of food and safety. We need more, and have always needed more, than simply be not dead to actually survive. Most will add that living is even more. We not only can afford but we must in order to realise what we can do and what we can be, if liberated from the questions of the mere beasts.
"The Odds of Survival", 50×70cm ink, marker, and collage on paper, unframed. The drawing is done in shiny black ink on matte black paper, the gold lines are marker. Sold via the artist's Etsy shop for 150€, https://www.etsy.com/de-en/listing/1306467874/honeybees-black-and-gold-ink-drawing

Lack of Darkness
From my Black Black Gold series. Choosing to live in light seems logical but is not the same as living without darkness. Confronting the creeping darkness takes courage but no war on it is needed, only keeping it at bay, making it want to join, wanting to recede, to allow the light. We were made from light after all, and we are not helpless against the dark.
