In this timeline, Dan White decided to commit suicide rather than murder in November 1978. George Moscone becomes a prominent progressive politician, but the religious right during the Reagan era opposes him due to his support for gay rights. However, he remains mayor of San Francisco for several more years, thanks to his immense popularity, until his retirement in July 2018. Harvey Milk continues to serve as a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors until 2000, when the constituency was abolished as in our timeline. Despite his political career never rising beyond that, Milk remains the face of the LGBT movement.

Use toys and lubricants responsibly! Lube is a great aid, but you have to be careful where and how you use it.
Some caveats:
I only included the four most common types of toys. By plastic I mostly mean HARD PLASTIC. Please don’t use jelly-soft toys or the like, as they are often TOXIC.
The reason I made varying degrees of acceptability and the reason that oil lubricant looks so suspicious is because oil based lube will NOT wash out of your body naturally. And as such, it can cause infections. However, it isn’t bad IN ITSELF it’s just really more susceptible to making the environment of your genitals dangerous. Use caution.
This is meant to be a simple quick-glance guide, not an in-depth explanation of WHY these things don’t work or do. If you need info, google is just a click away! :)

In our timeline, Sir Frederick Lugard proposed to return Weihaiwei to the Chinese government, in return for the ceding of the rented New Territories in perpetuity, but the proposal was neither well received nor acted upon. However, in this timeline, Lugard successfully convinced the British government to return Weihaiwei to China in 1909, in exchange for China permanently ceding all of Hong Kong to Britain. As a result, Britain retains control of Hong Kong to this day, and while China is less likely to attempt to reclaim it through force, the issue serves as a symbol of Chinese nationalism.
