“do i have a pen?” percy repeated their question by furrowing his eyebrows together as he began to pat his pockets. it would be highly unlikely for the boy who forgot to bring a pencil to class to find a pen in his pocket, but he could never be sure what he was going to find in his pockets. “sorry, i don’t think i have-” he started to speak, before abruptly cutting himself off as his hand brushed against the pen in his back pocket. hm, that was odd. “i guess i do have one,” he replied with a shrug. turning the pen over in his hands, percy couldn’t help but feel some sort of connection to it, which was incredibly odd considering it appeared to be a standard blue ink pen. still, he was hesitant to let it out of his hand, and then, for reasons unknown to even him, he flicked the cap off. almost immediately a loud gasp escaped from his lips as the pen transformed before his eyes, leaving him holding a three foot long brozne sword, the name anaklusmos inscribed on the hilt. “please tell me you can see the sword,” percy stammered, his eyes remaining fixed on the sword.
